Banshee's do not have rev limiters as far as I know and Keeping it pinned will do not much harm but defently no good!! I don't recommend it. -
Hey I am going to be putting in a RS timing plate.. Do I have to do any rejetting or NO? Prolly gonna set it at +4 deg. Thx

Why don't you take your 23 year old ass all the way to my door step and tell me not to post on here again. For fuck sakes you are still on your first dick!! If you don't want to help, thats fine, don't post or don't be a ass about it. All I am trying to do is get ready for taking that case apart to do the job and some young punk thinks he knows it all. Let me guess, in you past life as an unrinal you designed the banshee. GROW UP!!!

"o-ring on the pass through "..............where is that one located??? Is it what I am pointing at in the pics below?

Mine were all thread locked but the half clamps bent and they fell off. Is there any manufacturer that makes a skid plate that uses anything better than half clamps?
-
OK, I just looked at the vent lines and the one that goes into the water pump area was not attached to the T. It was just laying on my motor. Could I have sucked water in through there. Also where do all the vent lines come from. 1--water pump 2--Engine case breather Are there any more?

Hey guys..I was riding this past weekend and I lost my main skid plate. It was attached with half clamps and I guess I jarred them loose some how and it fell off. How did you guys attach the skids to your shee'?? What brand name skid plate did you go with? A search showed that PRM was popular. What thickness did you use for the main skid? Thx Chad

So May long weekend came and after the first good hard ride, I ckecked my oil and its milky again!! errrrrrr!! I fixed my drain lines and my coolant hasn't dropped any at all, so my next guess is a seal somewhere. What are my possibilities? Kick starter and shifter? Are there anymore I should worry about? I understand that it takes the smallest amount of water/antifreeze in the oil to make it milky, but my radiator is not dropping at all or anything noticable at all. Is there a way that it could come from the overflow tank and then into the transmission? I have no oil leaks at all except for around my where my pipes attach to the cylinder. There is some minor blow out there but nothing serious. Is it possible that I am sucking in H20 there or not? This is starting to piss me off and I need a fix.. Besides the other posts saying change the impeller and gasket ( I am going to do this to rule it out)....Is there any other way for antifreeze to enter the oil? If its not antifreeze in the oil and its water, where should I look for that? I have no oil leaks that would lead me to a area except for where the pipe attaches to the cylinder. HELP!! THX Chad

Hey guys, do you guys know anyone that can service and re-valve my stock rear shock? Mine seems to have crapped itself, (won't come back up fully with out pulling up on the grab bar). I already know of one guy that does it ---- www.gtthunder.com and he does banshee shocks. Does anyone know of anyone else that does this kinda work to shocks?? Thx

Did you sell the bumper yet? -
Hey y'all, I have a jetting question that involves a chopped air box lid. Background: 2003 Banshee, FMF Fatty's, Power core 2 silencers, uni-air filter, boyesene power reeds, air box lid on but snorkel removed. Jetting at sea level---270 mains, stock pilots and needle clip in 3rd position and I can't remember my air screw adjustment. Here comes the questions: 1) I am going away in Sept to ride at approx 3500-4000' with temps at approx 70-95 deg F or 20 -35 deg C. When I ride in that area with the sea level jetting, I run rich obvisouly. What should I re-jet to compensate for this? Here is what I am thinking. I have a airbox lid that I have the end chopped out of and when I run it at sea level It runs to lean. If I just put that chopped airbox lid on for the higher altitudes, will this compensate for the higher elevation? or Do I go to a 260 main, and adjust the air screw for my idle to 1/4 throttle or replace my pilot and move my needle clip to the 2nd position to make it run better for the 1/4 to 3/4 throttle and put the normal air box lid on? If I replace my pilot jet, what size should I got with? Let me know what you guys and gal think!!!! Cheers

I am not loosing any coolant, not even the slightest amount.. I checked the impeller and its looks just like new, nothing wrong with it at all, so I am going to reroute the drain line first and then maybe cap it. Thx for the reply.
-
Thats a good idea, I think I will reroute the hose first but if I do not have enough length, I will have to get a new piece..As far as I know, the kicker seal and sprocket seals are all good but I will double check. THX

Ok, I pulled off the side cover tonite and the impeller is in perfect shape, no issues what so ever,,,, if the water is getting in through a vent line, what can i do to stop this??? or how else could the water have gotten in there? Also my antifreeze level was at normal as well.. thx again
