XP shouldnt be doing what it is unless it wasnt installed right or unless your having hardware issues. How much memory are you running? hopefully at least 256 megs. And tell me when you went to XP that you DIDNT run it as an upgrade and you did a full install ??!?!?!

Hey evil.... Are you running Win 98 or Win ME by any chance? How old is your PC? If by any chance I would upgrade to Win XP....... no more crashing!!! No more blue screens! No more lock ups!! and is stable as hell....... Let me know what you have for a PC and I will help get you in the right direction!

Thanks for the reply. My current motor was designed around running methanol & race-AV gas, but I'v only run race fuel (fuel economy reasons) With the way things have been going for me I think I am going to stick to race fuel. There are pics of my cyls (ported) HERE I may have a port map lying around if that would help. Dave (MP) made a lot of alterations to the transfers, so I think the gains in crank case pressure may help. I'm running right around 225# compression so I've gained my low end back from that. I see now what your saying about the updraft entrance, and with that in mind do you think this is a bandaid for poor design? I'll try to get a pic tonight of the stuffers Dave made for me. The last set I glued in I was unable to remove. Then forcing me to make another set. The only way to get them out would be to destroy them. I too hope they dont get loose at 10k! That would be ugly ...... VERY ugly! Thank you again. Walter

I'm curious if you have ever delt w/ case stuffers and your opinions of them. I just finished re-assembling my cases, and being that I swapped the cases out I had to fabricate and install another set. My motor builder had told me that if I didnt run them with my current configuration that the motor would be "lazy". I'm just curious if you have ever messed with them and what you think about it. Here is a pic of the set I just made before I bonded them in. Thanks in advance

wallrat: Great advise! It never hurts to plan ahead and always expect the worst. You guys may laugh but this is why I plan all of these trips a year in advance. The motorhome for 5 days (picking up on wed evening and returning on monday morning) was almost 1100.00........ I think thats a ripoff but Nascar is there for the same weekend.... UGH! Steve is a POS liar. He bullshitted Dave into getting in bed with him (parnters) Daved signed a non-compete contract and now he is screwed. Thus the reason behind JC posting what he did. Ohhhhhhh I hate you two..... I've tried to get my wife to move out west since 97 (first trip to glamis) Nothing has worked. Backcountry offered to fly out east, w/ a gag and a roll of duct tape. Flat slides will give better performance from mid to top while round slides are better for low/mid. All due to air velocity through the carbs. Im sure someone else can explain this better than I did.

Bri98: One little warning... Dave Moore is NO LONGER at the # listed on their site. He left MP Racing (even though its his name) Steve is now running the show and he is a liar. Dave has since gone back to his old location and is trying to sever ties from Steve. My suggestion is to directly contact Dave... If you call MP, steve will just lie and tell you "he is busy" or He isnt here right now". Steve is not telling anyone that he is no longer there since he is trying to take future business from Dave. Steve is NOT an engine builder nor does he have anyone on premises to do the work (competant that is) If you would like Daves personal cell phone # you can contact me. I would recommend against dealing w/ Steve unless you prefer to get jerked around.
