you need to rethink your strategy because all you are doing is premature wear to your cylinders bore life. Look into stroker cranks

are you changing piston for performance or for rebuild? going to 68mm isnt really going to do much so I dont really think it will afect your jetting at all.

wow we got hustled, they didnt show anything

Make Your Own Footpeg Kickups (fake Ims's)
erbilabuc replied to erbilabuc's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I decided to bump this because after a 7 hour period of drag racing the paint held up and is completely dry now and tough as nails. No flex at all in the kickups or the pegs. -
double row pegs and kickups, 16$ look it up. This whole forum is listed with a lot of informative stuff.

I have stock Banshee rims with 21 holeshots in front and 20 inch razr's in rear with really good tread. The front rims have short valve stems in case you need to flip them around for the extra width. let me know

Your pilot is the stock size. I was wrong I couldn't remember what came original. Your main is close. Your needle if the clip is in the second groove from the top (the way it sits in the bike) you have leaned it from stock. I am assuming your bike is original except for what you listed. With pipes, filter and no airbox lid the clip on the needle should be move to the forth groove. Before you go messing with the jetting go with everything you had when it ran right. The same gas/oil and jets and put a new set of plugs in. Then see where your at. Sometimes when they are hard to start they just need a set of new plugs. you are totally right, i should of never even tried to rejet it, im going back to the old oil and see what that does.

I Wanna Rebuild Your Kicker For Free!
erbilabuc replied to Holyman's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
yeah you def got ripped off, did you get it off ebay? -
I think I have the same one as Got1Banshee, its either 750 or 1500 watts and the cost was like 12$ at walmart. Heats up my 2 car garage fast but then again Im talking about from like 40 degrees to somewhere in the 70's but for the price you can buy two of them
-
you didnt read it right, i leaned the main, the needle and pilot
-
how did you kep the coolant from draining into the oil? Ive done this many times but alawys drain the coolant because there is a small hose that can drain directly into your tranny.
-
yes sir they do, just be specific when you ordr, but there is a perpouse behind the +2+1

ok I am down to my last ounce of castor 927 and I cant wait to get rid of it, I might just pour it out. Ever since I started using this stuff my shee has ran like crap. I used to use the 3$/quart stuff and it ran great and never gave me any problems. Ive noticed after the 927 that its harder to start, oil comes out of silencers and it doesnt pull in 2nd gear(when drag racing it just bogs after clutch is dumped) like it used to. Should I go back to the low level stuff and see what that does or stick a 280 main in it because from like 0-3/4 it bogs pilot is at 25 main is at 290 needle in 2nd spot from the top sst's, v force delta 2's and advanced timing 4 degrees, running stock carbs with pro flo and no lid and I am at sea level. thanks

Quadzilla With An Artic Cat 800 Motor For Sale
erbilabuc replied to Minkia38's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Im interested but is he set on the 3500$ price? To be truthful; it doesnt seem worth that much to me(not a flame). -
You have to try it yourself because some bikes may be different. Some people dont have to grind their top mounts at all but i did. Just grind the bottom mount until the shock can fit in place. ASk one of your friends to help you and to act as a second opinion.

Make Your Own Footpeg Kickups (fake Ims's)
erbilabuc replied to erbilabuc's topic in General Banshee Discussion
well there were people asking ridiculous prices for altered stock pegs like "BANSHEE962000" that wanted like 50$ for a set of pegs that had been all cut up and made double row and I thought that was crazy. heres the price list extra set of stock pegs - 12$ shipped on ebay piece of metal 4'x1.25 and 1/8" thick -3$@ home depot 4 bolts - 45 cents 4 locknuts- 79 cents 8 washers - 20 cents add it up with a little time and it comes out to about 16$ which is not a bad deal for a much more comfortable ride and the safety you get from the kickups. As soon as my rib heals Im either going to clean these up a little or make new ones. Like I said before that you dont have to weld as long as you can find a strong break or maybe a torch to heat the metal up with as you try to bend it. -
have you done a search on this forum or the images forum yet? I know I put up ictures of what neds to be done with +2+1 and someone else did it on stock arms. Just search a little
-
i got one with a few dings that I can try to bang out, its polsihe stainless steel 20$ shipped is what I would want. I can get pictures so let me know

Ok let me start off by saying that I had a broken rib while I was doing this and I never realized how much a broken rib can affect normal every day shit like uhmmmm breathing. So after sitting around all week and being bored I thought I was good enough to at least sit down and cut some metal but I was wrong. Materials are 4 foot piece of 1/8 thich by 1 1/4 wide zinc plated steel Cut off wheel extra stock pegs 4 bolts, 8 washers and 4 lock nuts total cost was about 16$ either get a descent braker or do what I did and get a torch and heat up the metal and make the appropriate bends after making the bends figure out at what angle you want your kick-ups to be at. Some people prefer different angles. I made mine as close to the IMS design as possible. Once you figure it out where you want them then clamp them in place and weld After you wel you can choose to grind down the welds or do like I did and bondo over them for a smooth appearance. Then you figure out where the holes need to be. As you can see I had to wallar out my holes because I couldnt bear the pain and measure at the same time. You can paint them or leave them raw, I painted mine with black bed liner stuff but then decided grey metallic was a better choice, notice I didnt feel like sanding the bedliner stuff because my rib was telling me it was time to quit. bolt it in place here is a better pic of the finished product Ok this can be made out of one entire piece of metal without any welding but you will need a pretty strong brake to bend the metal. I cut the teeth before welding but there were so many teeth to cut that I started getting stupid. If my rib wouldnt of hurt so much I would of taken my time instead of rushing it. It looks descent in my opinion and it does the job. Oh and I also put an extra set of pegs to make "double row" or "extra wide" pegs. If it doesnt look good then at least it was a learning experience cus I didnt think I was going to be able to pull this off at all. Opinions please
-
with no weight on the banshee there is 1 inch higher ride height but it goes back to the same height as regular shocks once you sit your ass on it
-
double up your stock ones , its easier because you dont have to cut your shifter or brake or buy a new blaster shifter or brake. Wait til tomorrow and look in the tips and tricks section for my homemade kickups

well I have no idea what the fuk these numbers mean but he is a member on this site so go ahead and give him a peace of your mind if you want
