    ISDRA on TG

Going out on Tusday, coming back the following Monday. We'll be camping down South but we'll be spending quite a bit of time up North. If anyone else is going to be there lets try to meet up.
  2. Damn, guess it could have been worse.

I dig that steep shiat too, China wall is great but now I'm into that wall in Patton Valley. I don't know if it has a name but it's steep as hell. Scares me more to come back down than to go up
  4. I recently put on SSTs and I'm impressed with them. The thing grunts more on the bottom than it did before and when it hits the pipe it pulls awesome. I have a stock pilot, 2 turns on the air screw, third clip pos on needle and 310 mains with no lid at sea level. At 3100ft I'd start with a 300 main with no lid, better to start rich than lean and then check the plugs. Unless you're riding in a really dusty or wet area taking off the airbox lid is a real benefit. Let me know what you come up with, like you say, not many people running SSTs and I'm curious to know
  5. I ordered a spring from them once, I got the wrong one. It took me nearly three months to get the right one from them and then they tried to charge me again. I've avoided them since.
  6. I doesn't matter who wins the ALCS, Sox or Yanks 'cause they'll get swept by the Cards. I'm not a Cards fan, that's just how it is.
  7. I have FMFs on my Banshee but I have a DMC Alien on my Blaster and it made a HUGE difference from low to high rpms, mostly mid to top. I imagine that the Banshee pipes would perform as well.
  8. Using lures doesn't guarantee anything. I spent an entire week calling elk with a bugle and in the end I got him by sheer luck. As I crested a hill he was down below trying to hook up with a couple of cows. My dad's was basically the same way. Mine... Dads...
  9. I don't get it?!?
  10. Some common motor oils (most) have friction modifiers to meet EPA standards and can cause a wet clutch to slip. Using lubricants that are made for a wet clutch will give you better results. Some use ATF, others use gear lube, I use Mobil One MX4T which is a normal synthetic motoroil but is made for a wet clutch.
  11. Guess it's starting to cool off a little. I was there about two weeks ago and by 10:am it was over 100 so we packed up and left. Maybe by Halloween it'll be cool enought to ride all day.
  12. And those Alba pipes are EXTREAMLY loud.
  13. Yes you can ride the dunes with stock tires but if you can get the paddles then do it because you'll have a much better time.
  14. My buddy just bought an Armadillo from RMATV and it fit great and included a bracket for the light, cheep too. It has a spot for six-pack cooler and small gas can and cost him the same as my Maeir six pack rack that mounts to the stock grab bar (I bought from a stealership ).
  15. No you don't have to go get a degree. You could join ,then go through WO training. Going in as a LT would be better cause WO selection is very compeditive. And if you didn't make it in to fly school then your still in a contract to serve. Only in the Army do they allow WOs to fly helicopters. Airforce, Navy and Marines are commisioned officers only.
  16. I'm in Rancho Bernardo. I'm always up for a trip, just PM me if you're looking for someone to go. I'm going to Gordon's this Sunday (12th) to tune bikes, if anyone's going to be there let me know.
  17. I dive La Jolla too. Great place once you get used to the cold and bad vis. I get out there about once a week. Dove all over everywhere while I was in the Navy and the Persian Gulf is one of my favorites, lots of wreck dives.
  18. 115# of compression is LOW, you might pull the head and have a look. Also, the lower the compression the lower octane rating you need, not the opposite.

  20. are you crazy??? a yfz450 will walk on a gas gas. those things are heavy and have turn signals. has there been a shootout with them yet?? Shootout in the May Dirtwheels had the YFZ(450), 450R, and Gas Gas 450 and the YFZ(450) spanked them both. (clarified for sredish )
  21. Welcom, the only thing you need to do to it is ride it. You'll figure out what else you want as you get used to it. As far as buying parts in Ontario I couldn't tell you.
  22. They have a chevron treaded tire but I don't see one called "dirt boss" Carlisle Tires

First On Race Day I've got 170K on my Bronco and it gets wheeled HARD
  24. That's good to know. That's also why I like RMATV, their inventories are in the listing.
  25. It's all about shot placement
