  1. Ill stick to my rockets anyday And there name has been flushed
  2. What silencers are those? They look like the toomey design without the decal
  3. Which shocks were you running? Do you have a damper?
  4. I would agree with thegroup Ive seen the 439cc 2004 yfz 450's take true 450cc honda 450rs every race at the track. Honda rushed to make a true 450, and the Yamaha prevails. Now Yamaha has a true 450, with more improvements. Honda owners say your prayers.
  5. Is that yours dunedemon?
  6. I took my head gasket out. Just watch the gasket it has sharp edges. I just used the orings that came with the head, and havent had a bit of problems since.
  7. Rockets
  8. You should hand the raptor its ass about anywhere, as long as you get nice traction. Its only a 686. You should walk all over the new raptors too and they are 700cc fuel injected.
  9. Ive got some FMF Gnarlies in good shape, for 225 shipped.
  10. Hmm thats only about an hour from me. What kinda drags are they ? Asphalt?
  11. They sell nikasil coated banshee cylinders. They do porting. And they have pipes. And they do head mod. Chris Yax how much was your porting? The site says like 495 or something
  12. Pm ROCKETMAN29 he said he still had a couple of rocket sets left.
  13. Dont the newer dirt bikes come with compression in the 200lbs? What do the dealers reccomend to run in them?
  14. Hes running 280 mains, with airbox lid on, and toomey filter. We usually ride a couple of hours each time, sometimes open fields, gravel, then other times trails, just all around. I think some of the blueing is coming from the oils on your hands when installing the pipes. Because he hasnt had them very long, and I dont believe he cleaned them right after install, and you can kinda see where his fingerprints where if you look hard, and it seems to be more concentrated around those finger prints. I dunno?? The other day at the Honda/Yamaha shop, they had some stuff called "Blue Job" it came in alittle white tub, and was for motorcycles, supposedly it removes the blue, but it was 11 bucks for alittle jar so I said f it.
  15. My buddies got a set of T5's he has been running for awhile now. Im guessing maybe 20 hours (rough guess) They are starting to turn blue right around the front of the engine. Some say this is normal, but some say no. Is there anyway to get rid of the coloring? What would cause the coloring?
  16. Finger Lakes is huge, but not real banshee friendly. Usually super muddy. At our walmart they have a book over by the batteries of ATV riding areas in MO it has alot more than I had known about. See if your walmart has any. They are back int he automotive section.
  17. Id say your doin good. Ive got a 98 Yukon with 5.7 liter, and im gettin 12 miles/gallon on the highway.
  18. I can see that nice crosshatch on the cylinders in that first pic what type of porting did you end up going with from passion?
  19. haha, sounds like he mighta joined the mile high club
  20. What about the newer I-Razrs? They look tempting, but the price scared me away.
  21. What is your elevation? 340's seem fat. Im running rockets on my bike at 800 feet above sea levels with 310's and it is spot on jetting. I would think the rockets would flow more air, but I could be wrong. But the mains shouldnt have any effect really on it not wanting to start. Try fiddling with the pilot screws, and the idle screws alittle. Sounds alittle rich. So back the pilot screw OUT quarter turn at a time, this allows more air in at idle to low throttle. Try running some NGK BR9EG's instead of BR9ES, I have better luck with the EG's not fouling so easy. Also make sure during those kicks, you arent giving it any gas or choking it. After the motor is warm you should never need to choke the motor, unless you let it cool all the way back down. You might be flooding it by the sounds of it. During those 200 kicks, are you getting any fire whatsoever? Does it sound like it might almost want to start, but then wont?
  22. Im guessing by the looks of that turbo under the seat/fuse panel, it will be much more reliable, and easier to tune so he doesnt blow it up every run when he cranks up the boost. Ive seen a video of a turbo banshee all over the place on the net where a guy goes 86mph up olds hill, but supposedly it is a nightmare to tune, and the guy that built it said he blew motors left and right, I guess he is hoping to make it much more rideable with the turbo onboard.
