  1. You don't want to see a pic of his POS Banshee....
  2. I know this kid personally, any moderators out there you should ban him from this site. He is nothing but trouble...just read the other post where I talked about him and you'll see what I mean. I actually just got off the phone with him and I feel 100 times dumber for listening to him ramble/stutter on about stupid stuff about "modding" his Bbbb-bbbaa--bbbaanshee out. Just please ban him and save us all the major headache of having to deal with his stupid threads about the 200 things that he wants to get...
  3. Everyone, I know this kid personally and he is FUCKING retarded. He's 16 (has the IQ of a rock, I think his mom was doing drugs when he was in the womb...seriously) He has NO job, he was fired from McDonalds because of how retarded he was (not kidding, I work there). He has NO idea what he's talking about with quads or engines or ANYTHING. He weighs about 90 lbs and is about 5 feet tall, looks like he himself is a crackhead. He stutters a lot, has no friends. His parents are NOT rich, they spend all their money on drugs and they live in a dump. He has ONE Banshee that doesn't even run, he already blew the engine after only having it for a short while because he has 200mj's in it with aftermarket pipes and bored over engine with no airbox and clamp-on K&N's. Before he had this pile of sh*t Banshee, he had a Banshee FRAME, which he thought was so awesome and he was going to "mod" it out. I'm warning you guys, don't do ANY transactions with this kid (buying anything from him or selling anything to him, this kid has NO money and all his stuff is sh*t). Just ignore ANYTHING he says, and if any moderators see this, please delete all his threads. This kid doesn't know ANYTHING that he's talking about and just causes more headaches than being hit in the head with a sledge hammer. I'm not saying this because I hate the kid, I do feel really sorry for him, you'll just have to see how stupid this kid is...and some of you already have. Just ignore him, it's for the best.
  4. Retard alert, retard alert. This kid is a class A retard, has no idea what he's talking about and stutters a lot and can't afford a single thing off that list. The kid needs to get some common sense knocked into him before someone hits him with a car.
  5. Don't pay attention to anything this retard says. He's a little freak with no friends that has an old Banshee that doesn't even run, he has no idea what he's doing and before that he had a Banshee frame that he thought was so sweet. Everyone just don't pay attention to a single thing this user says. Trust me, it's for the best.
  6. Yea I know it requires a new crank, I have already found a stroker kit (rods and crank) for $525 I think it is. I guess I'll stay away from the single carb mod, what size do you think I should run? I've already had my case opened before to put in my HotRod crank after my stock one fried.
  7. 1. What are the best cheapest extended A-arms? I'm looking at around +2+1. 2. What is the best extended axle? Would a +4 go good with +2 arms? 3. Which swingarm would you recommend for dragging? I'm guessing around +1/+2. I'm not running a highly powered banshee so flipping over backwards isn't worrying me right now. 4. I'm looking at getting a +4 mm Wiesco stroker kit, what is all involved in installing it? I saw that you need to get a special stroker piston from Wiesco, how much would that cost, and would I want to go overbore or would the stroker add enough power? 5. I'm interested in getting a NOSS cool head with 21cc domes so I don't need to go to race mix or race gas. I'm located in Western Wisconsin and elevation is around 500-1000ft I believe, would 21cc domes be good? 6. Would a Trinity 2:1 33mm carb be good or should I go for the 35mm? 7. What tires would you recommend for hardpacked dirt dragging? I'm thinking about Kenda Klaws because they are cheap and have stiff tread. I think that should do it for questions...I'm home sick from school today and decided I wanted to start modding out my Banshee instead of my 400ex. Also are there any other mods that anyone thinks I should look into? Would all these mods make it into a killer dragger? Oh also what gearing should I go with? It's about time to replace my chain and sprockets and I'm thinking about going up a sprocket or staying at stock. I also have FMF Pipes and silencers and Wiseco Pro-Lite pistons in with a HotRod crankshaft in and I want to make it a bit faster Thanks in advance. -Neal
  8. Well I just unplugged the TORS...still no spark. I'm thinking tomorrow morning (like 5 hours from now..) I'll try disconnecting the whole parking brake system and maybe that'll do something...if not...I'll order a new coil, if that's not it, aftermarket CDI...and if that fails...I'll throw it off a cliff after I get insurance
  9. Yesterday I went to the lake with my banshee to do some radar runs. I was having problems with the left carb always overflowing, so I ran it for a couple seconds anyway just to see how the screws handled on the ice. Stopped it and shut off the fuel then took off the left carb and cleaned out the float bowl. I turned on the gas and the problem was fixed, went to start it up...nothing. Checked the spark, none. Just a few minutes earlier it had been running strong and then it had aboslutely no spark. We went through and checked all the wires and everything is in place. We even cut off the killswitch and tied the wires together so we know that's not the problem. I'm totally stumped and I want to take this thing out on the ice before I leave my friend's house...any help would be appreciated! -Neal -New Edit- We found that there is power coming from the engine but it ends at the wires over the head. We cut the TORS wires and tied them together so that the TORS wouldn't be effecting it, but still no spark. I'm starting to think maybe it's time for a new coil.
  10. Yes I rejetted for the pipes, after I blew my engine because I wasn't jetted for the pipes (dad wouldn't let me rejet because he said it didn't need to be...crazy guy..that cost me $1000 and he blames me for "riding it hard"). I'm going to Lake Washington in St. Peter, Minnesota. I'll be staying at a friend's house for the weekend, and he used to own a banshee so he has jets left over...could you give me the approx. sizes I'll need? Since I don't know what's in there right now, so I might have to pick up new jets just in case...
  11. In a couple weeks I'll be doing some ice drags with my 2000 Banshee with FMF pipes and silencers and a uni filter, I also plan to run it without the air lid. I think the elevation is around 200-400 feet. And don't ask me what my main jet, pilot jet, and air/fuel screw is it...because I really have no clue...Also, the temp. should be anywhere from 0-40, most likely around 0-20 because it's supposed to get real cold here soon...Thanks. (In case you're wondering, I'm still running the stock carbs, with the jetting for summer time use)
  12. that's it? just Trinity and eBay? i think i have a local Trinity dealer somewhere near me and i think i can get stuff for cheaper there, i got my HotRod crankshaft for $410.
  13. With 20cc domes, you're still able to run 93 octane right? it's just when you drop below that you should start doing 50/50 race gas right?
  14. Where can you get your engine ported and polished? will local mechanic shops be able to do it? how much does it usually cost? and what differences would you really notice if you got it ported for low end?
  15. Does anyone know of any sites or dealers that sell a CV carb? I know I can get it from Trinity Racing...but there's almost always other places that have a company's product, and sell it for less. so are there any places that sell the Trinity Racing CV carb for less? or should i just order it from TR? because i don't want to spend $450...and i don't quite have the money, considering that i'm 15..working at a low-pay job, and i have a banshee and a 400ex to pay for and i'm getting a 310R and a zr440 snowmobile soon , so i'll be short on money!
  16. what is the stock gearing on a banshee? (year 2000 since i heard the earlier years were different). i ride trails...somewhat tight but not too bad, but i also ride in the open and do a lot of car dragging in the corn fields. i was thinking of going down a tooth on the front sprocket because i'd like to gain some bottom end, i have FMF fatty pipes and powercore II silencers and i still don't have the bottom end i'd like, i don't really have any power until mid-range still. if moving down a tooth on the front sprocket would cause me to lose too much top end and cause overshifting, i will stick with stock gearing because in the near future i plan on getting the CV carb from Trinity Racing.
  17. and about the whole reliability and about some banshees lasting for a very long time, it's true. it all depends on how you take care of your machine. if you do all the proper maintanence like you're supposed to do and make sure you run high quality oil and use the right octane for your banshee and do all your routine checks the thing is going to last forever! unless you beat the living sh*t out of it and then set it on fire!!
  18. hey 99nhbanshee how much did you get your YFZ450 for? i haven't checked at my dealership yet to see how much they are selling it for....i hope they won't try to sell it for 6899...because then i'll never have enough money to buy one, even after i sell my banshee!
  19. imagine seeing a race ready yfz450 with like 10,000 put into it like all the other awesome race quads...that would be the ultimate orgasm machine, lol. and ator does have a point, no one is bulletproof. no one will ever be bulletproof. there will always be some sort of flaw, and we shouldn't start judging a company just by a few flaws it might have had...because every other "good" company has had flaws at one point in time, it's just called working them out and unfortanetly some companies rush it and don't work these out and try to do it over in time so they don't lose too much money, but they end up losing more respect than money. and honda is known somewhat to work out MOST of their flaws, at least moreso than any other company. like it took them awhile to come out with the 400ex because they worked out almost all the flaws. there are usually almost no problems with most of them unless you really ride them hard. but that can be the same with a lot of companies, like yamaha. people always flame yamaha because of their craptor that they released. but they don't realize that the raptor was just a cover-up for the yfz450. they hurried up and rushed it so no one would get suspicious and so they wouldn't lose too much money. but this time yamaha has done their research and taken their time. most of the flaws should be worked out, and of course there is going to be SOME problem with SOME of the yfz450's, it's just something that happens. it's a MACHINE, there is no such thing as a perfect machine, they are man-made and will fail sooner or later. and this has become really long and i absolutely forgot what my whole reason was for writing this...lol  so yea, i'm just going to shut up now later
  20. the new yfz450 is a killer beast. i know some people who have test driven it. and it's beaten a race-ready 250r on a track. and it was totally stock except for a silencer. this thing handles awesome and produces wicked power. trust me, i think yamaha has finally done their research this time....plus the yfz450 only weighs 350 pounds!!! and produces more hp than a banshee. put in different gearing and that thing will FLY.
  21. Send me some pics and tell me what's all on your new Alba Banshee, I have a 2000 Banshee, basically 2002 because the engine's rebuilt, and I was thinking about sending mine into Alba or some other race team to have it tricked out, or else just buying a Banshee from Alba. I'm really interested so I'd appreciate some pics and specs. Thanks!
