How much modding can you do to a 450? i know theyre new, but do they have a lot of performance parts out for them?

My buddy placed the order for my stroker motor... and he put Kiehn D silde carbs on it 34 mm. Are these real nice carbs? I know his dad runs one on his 270r stroker, and its real nice...how are they for the shees?

i always thought it depends more on the mods you have they can like 2 hp or so... if you get havey mods i think its a nessecity... correct me if im worng anyone.

we decided not to run blaster pistons... were doin those weisco 795 pistons

hahaha thats good freakin motion pro flywheel puller stripped so freakin easy... we finnaly got it to work but its like 27 bucks to take off a fly wheel each time haha

were boring .040 over to get out those nasty scars, and were doin 5 mm stroker so it turned out to be a 385 cc stroker. im so excited for this and it should be done in less than a month so whoo hoo

same here man, im almost getting a 370 stroker for the prcie of the dealer to fix mine (shakes head)

naa im sure that will mount right to the existing motor mounts....

dude man i got the same problem but my whole skirt broke off and really screwed my left cylinder.... and your gonna die with the bill from the dealership... so find somebody thats knows what theyre doin and maybe do some big motor work while your in there. I know i am...

cool cool good to hear were starting today...i gotta get the piston skirt out of the bottom end first! haha my buddy joe d. (fmf trucker) has a guy thats local whosgonna port my motor and hes workin with a guy that was with procircuit for some odd amount of years so itll be done right... the kid thats doin mine did joe d's dad's 250r and that was done awesome and hauls ass thats a 270 stroker with porting and the works etc. etc ..... you think ill be faster than him? oh yeah Blue Deuce... did you get any dyno charts or horsepower estimates out of your 370?

does anyone on here run a ported 370 +4mm stroker? do you like it and how is it for bottom end trail riding, acceleration etc.?

yep we decided on a 370 stroker motor with 34 mm keihns. ...oh to the guys about boring.. when my piston skirt broke it scarred my cylinder and its not pretty. so im boring that much cuz i have to. were gonna run blaster pistons in it as well. ill post pics after its all done. and im gonna put a new clutch in while i have it open anyways cuz i figure with that much hp, itll go in one ride.... so good good, we start friday!

could i do both the 404 and the 4mm stroker, with a hinson clutch and 34mm carbs? wuld this be suffiecient and reliable or should i just stroke and bore .030 or .040 over and call it done with hinson and carbs.

Im bored with my stock shee, and im ready for a major power increase. Im debating between a vitos 404 big bore kit, or a 4mm stroker motor, bored .040 over. Both setups would be accompianed by porting, pipes, after market clutch and either bored carbs or 34mm carbs, and a cool head running 20 cc domes. How big of a power increase vs. price do you think i could get out of these choices? What would you choose? I'm really in a perdicament and we start this week. So any tips/comments are greatly appreciated! -Alex

my apology, i saw that i posted 4mm stroker... when i really meant 4mm long rod... big difference. my fault. This should make my odds a little better with the stock carbs bored out.... cool thanks guys (any other comments are welcome)

since my 'shee is in the shop i figured id get some real hp out... id like to do like a 4mm stroker. Could i get away with the stok carbs, and stock clutch or what mods would i have to do to compensate for the power increase of porting/longrod set up? Thanks in advance.

cool ill do whatever i have to do to make it run (and maybe a lil more) i want this thing haul ass over the stock shee i had before
