  1. i always wondered about that too. maybe they don't flex so much and leave stress marks like the blue shows so much??
  2. i'm a supervisor at my work also, but i'm married so i don't have issues with women at work. but as a supervisor, i can warn you that you are treading on dangerous ground. i try not to bring my work home, or take home issues to work with me. it's not good to let them get mixed together. but i guess that's already happened for you. that being the case, you've got to get your priorities straight. which is more important to you, the girl or your job? hopefully you can set things straight without losing one or the other, but chances are one of them will suffer, and ultimately so will you. if something has to give, you have to evaluate which will have the most adverse affect on your future. tough decision i'm sure, but it's one you will have to make at one time or another. better sooner than later.
  3. i'll second that! ben was the first one from the HQ to help me out. thanks bud. happy birthday
  4. yeah man, use a small c-clamp and put your old pad over the piston and slowly press the piston back into the caliper.
  5. holyman, that was awfully nice of you to take your motor off of your shee and tear it down just for a good pic to help someone out! you rock man!! the HQ always comes thru for those in need of assistance. trailrider, while you have it apart, check out the rubber o-ring seal where the clutch cover fits over the coolant pipe leading to the head. sometimes it'll leak there also if the seal is damaged.
  6. i will agree with that. don't get me wrong, i love my shee, and it is faster than most other quads i've been up against or rode with, but i don't spout off about how magnificent it is. i let it speak for itself, one gear at a time. it does turn heads and people expect something wild to happen upon seeing or hearing you coming, rightfully so. but i'm not gonna parade around like i have the best machine ever and yours is a p.o.s. if it's anything other than a banshee.
  7. i've never had any trouble with the masterlink as long as you put it on right. my cbr chain is a riveted link. i do feel a little safer at 150mph on the street with it, but it's never given me any trouble with a masterlink before either, thank god.
  8. this post sucks. even if he is gay, which i don't think he is, so what. as long as the little fag ain't knockin on my door, he can be whatever he wants to be. i don't have to be bothered with him or his music if i choose not too. i think some of his stuff is funny, but i wouldn't say i'm a fan. there's a lot of freaks in this world that do some sick shit, and their judgement day awaits them. i think eminem should be the least of our worries. by the way, 'homosexuals' are called out so much because if you are truly a straight guy with any morals, they are pretty disgusting and easily picked out of the crowd. the walk, the talk, the attire, the body language. it's freekin sickening!! what's this world coming to, you might ask? AN END! it's that simple.
  9. i'm a little closer to altoona. it's a good ways from ligonier. but check out paatving.com forums, you'll find places and people to ride with in the area. there are a lot of great poker runs not to far from you too.
  10. i'd stick with the decals, but lose the black seat. your original seat cover gives it more color and offsets the decals. looks good bud.
  11. i think they block a lot too. granted you still get a lot on you also, but for all the crap that i have to hose out from under my front fenders after a good ride, i'd say they definitely help. if mine are damaged and need replaced, maybe i'll cut them instead. otherwise, they're a good place for some stickers. i did ride without them on once during a teardown and cleanup. it did give a pretty cool view! i'd suggest doing that before cutting them off to see if you like it or not.
  12. hope you win it led. hell, if nothing else, you could always sell it and put the $$ into the shee
  13. i looked at some on there already, and there's no way i could match the one that i'm looking for. it was way cooler than any of the other custom ones i've seen. no offense to anyone, many of them are pretty cool looking, it's just not what i had mind. if i can't find it, i'm gonna go with the ceet flame seat cover.
  14. how much trouble has anyone actually had with the chain breaking? if your chain is maintained and not excesively tight, it shouldn't snap, right? i suppose getting some amazing air and really slamming the landing might do it. if it's just worn out that bad, well, i don't let mine get worn out that bad. i understand that $20 or so compared to a cracked case is well worth it. but how often has it happened?? i'm just curious because i've never had a chain snap on anything in about 18 years of riding.
  15. whatever cutting you do to the box or lid, it's best to do it with it off the quad, or make sure you plug up your intake boots. and make sure you clean it out VERY well, or you'll find little pieces of plastic all through your filter. they're a bitch to clean out if you have the foam filters.
  16. the only place i ever saw this seat cover was at the stealership a long time ago, when i had my blaster. it was white and blue with "BANSHEE" written on the sides. i cannot find anything like it anywhere now. the guys at the stealership don't know either. i'm not sure if it was a yamaha brand, or who made it, but i would love to find on like that again. any thoughts??
  17. that's what i replaced mine with. they were a bitch to get in, but haven't fallen out yet and hardly show any wear at all. i put them in about 8 months ago.
  18. amen to that!! but my wife didn't like the idea of me spending the monthly payment $$ on more mods now since there's no more payments. i couldn't even talk her into letting me by her a new grizzly either!! perfect example of the importance of $$ to a woman.
  19. i'm not sure about that. sounds like you're still trying to figure it out. only one of the bowls will contain the starter jet. there's a 'tube' molded into the side of the bowl, in which at the bottom you will see the jet, and a small opening into the bowl . i think the other one is just empty with no opening to the bowl. what happens is when you pull the choke lever out, it opens an air passage. the air travel sucks fuel thru the opening in bottom of the bowl like a siphon, thru the starter jet, up the mix tube on the side of the bowl where it mixes to provide a fuel rich mixture, providing easier starting.
  20. sounds like there's a woman behind that story!
  21. make sure you keep the bowl with the 'starter jet' on the left side or you'll have difficulty starting it anytime it's cold.
  22. i have the upp racing slider/roller kit for about a year or more now. working great so far. initial assembly takes a little work, but it's well worth it over the stock style.
  23. 99% of the time, rocky mtn. has the best deal for anything i've needed yet. i usually don't even bother looking elsewhere anymore. it's usually a waste of time. moto-man.com is next in line for me if rocky mtn doesn't have it or is out of stock, which rarely happens. good luck.
  24. i love my pc's. i was told before i got them that they were the best all around pipe, great for trails or anywhere. fmf's have better low end, toomey's better top end. they're the only ones i've had, but i have no complaints. for all of the other shee's i've seen and heard, i still like my pc's looks and sound better anyway.
  25. that's the way it looks to me. i guess it's mainly so you don't have to pull the rad hose to drain the system?! it's not worth the $$ as far as i'm concerned, unless your looking to add some looks to your shee.
