Larry Carlton Grant Giesmann Lee Ritinour None of which play for Saliva or Drip or Drool, or any of these other, three cord wonders that have been mentioned they have played on more artist albums, than any other guys in the history of music.... when a guitar player needs a guitar player they dont call jimmy page to sit in, Les Paul the guy who invented the gibson jimmy plays could smoke him....... if jimmy page is christ how come the black crowes record sales hit an all time low when they decied to team up with the chosen one? answer, because the record buying population is no longer intrested, show me the billboard chart with robert plant on it?, so they not only cant play or sing, but can no longer write a hit tune, find me a record label that would sign either of them fucks.....on the other hand Bob seiger is still writing and producing for many artists that are on the charts......no ones beating jimmy page's door down to even tour. and dont try to blow the smoke up my ass that "well he doesnt want to or he would" the fuckin idiot couldnt fill a denys let alone a major venue.....a good musician is not allways a song writer, and theres plenty of song writers that cant even play a fuckin Kazoo......diane warren has more grammys than any 20 bands you can think of and ill bet you cant name me one tune she's written, like i said just cause someone thinks, a guy sounds cool doesnt make him a virtuoso....... when led zepplin got signed to atlantic records 60 percent of all bands got signed.......today, less than a percent get signed...i dont think Led or DickSmoke would know a good guitar player if they heard one.....so neener neener

i dig robin trower, because of his tunes not his skills, an ok gtr player but nothing to write home about, pat travers is under rated his tunes never flooded the charts but a A+ rock, blues and fusion player, ted nugent just plain blows in my book, ya know how you can roll or "tap" your fingers in a pattern on say a desk 1,2,3 1,2,3 sounds like a horse running, thats a triplet or for a gtr player a triad.....knowing 3 chords on a guitar and then tapping in a triplet pattern on one string "hammering" gets all the kids to go WEE he's neato, but dont really impress me much....never listened to the band Saliva, so cant really comment on if they suck or not, and the led zepplin sound was eddie and john, all the cool tones echo's reverbs, delays, the cool delay on whole lotta love in the break after the bridge, were plant sings "Way down in side woman, you need" and you hear the cool slap delay on "woman" john wound the multitrack tape master, tails out and left it, and the magnitism or "print through" created that effect, digital signal prosessing was about 15 years out, making it much harder than todays engineers simply setting a delay on 90milliseconds and handing some fool a mic, all the cool shit you hear on the beatles abby road album is a bad mother fucker and he wasnt in the band

ill go with that....all of the mentioned "artists" are song writers, which is what atracts listeners, when you buy an album your hearing the output of someones console in a nut shell, shitty electronics make for a garbled, distorted sound hence the 950,000 dollar recording console and related goodies, then months of twisting those knobs (and yes often times turd polishing) to get to the end result.........
-
yeah you should pound it for a few on those fresh plugs before a chop, or just wire brush yer old set before you chop them...6 of one half dozen the other.....
-
i guess youd have to define good, and that sound was john gylnns there producer and eddie krammer there engineer, you only sound as good as the guy turning the knobs..i was in a band with a kid who'd been playing guitar for 6 months and could play the entire song remains the same album note for note, jimmy page punched in 190 times to do the solo on heart breaker, you could cut three fingers off a good guitar player and he could still play that solo

if its an elevation change thats where id do it.......i like ringing third out but im geared pretty tall, either fresh plugs or look at it, reinstall it, bang it over and dragg it to your prefered high gear, lugging it loads it up, then your buring that off and sometimes it can make it appear rich when really its lean just burning off shit from the pilots, and not having a load on the chassis helps also i.e. shooting comp hill to do a plug chop....

nuthuh the drummer and bass player were decent, not great but fair......

HP OUT OF THE PASSION STROKERS?
Blue Duece replied to 420 RACING's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I think that 75-80 number is close give or take a few hp for jims motor, I had my trinity mx ported shee dyno at 66hp and its weak, ive never dynoed my passion bike but to me the 70-80 is irrelevant its where the first 35 ponies are, and on jims motor their right off an idle.... -

but they are a pinch nicer, showa makes decent shocks....the shee's a better jumper, more acceleration on the launch helps tons, the ex is like dropping a bag of cement off a roof

some guys use ATF, i use honda 50 weight mostly but its 100 degrees where i ride.....as long as its full and clean...with all barnett springs you should have zero slip, did you install them dry, or soak them in oil first, is the basket damaged......
-
what are you using for tranny juice? is it full? how did you do your springs? 1/2 aftermarket, 1/2 stock? all barnetts? all stock? at least an 1/8 play in your clutch cable? can you only feel it in 6th? you should feel it from a slow roll in a high gear also, its not the added hp, the barnett will handle it, all stock springs wont though, uneven torque on the springs will get slip also, alot of guys run 1/2 stock,1/2 aftermarket with lots of hp and have no problem, its a little less pump on the wrist, sometimes real dirty oil will give you some slip, i used to smell my stock clutch sizzle when id climb steep hills, but with less drag on the bike it didnt slip, and it's not the 22's either ive pulled those in sand with no slip and a barnett

this one you might not be able to pull off but works great, a friend was getting married to a gal he met in jamacia, he flew home alone for his bachlor party, we got toasted(needless to say) well he was passed out, so at 4am me and a buddy went to the cock store and bought a 12" dildo and wrapped it in Tin-Foil, put it in his suitcase and took him to the airport to catch a 7am flight back to his sweetheart, lucky for us there was a girls volleyball team taking the same flight out of los angeles, well when he went throught the metal detector, bells and buzzers went off, the customs agent opened his bag and "exposed" his "Vibrator" the look on his face was fuckin priceless, as he proclaimed "That Aint Mine" and when the 20, 22 year old girls behind him in line started giggling, i think i pissed myself i laughed so hard

ive riden that track.....the long down hill is smoken on a quad, hold on tight and dial in your suspension, gear yer bike tall, its brutal on a 2 wheeler, let alone yer shee, rickey johnson was the last guy i saw make that track look easy, its a fast, wild ride dude....good luck
