  1. you can put the motor back together just put the tranny in the bottom half first. then put the top end on. just make sure every thing is lined up. as for sending the case out, i would have suggested that to get the springs setup on teh shift drum. the forks are to be adjusted so they fit in the shift drum and dont rub on it constantly. thats why builders ask for you bottom case.

  8. just a thought you might try to fat up the bottom with a bigger pilot like a suggested adn mabye the 5th clip , then you will probably be rich on the top end, then you could adjust your mains down. ive played with jim motor and they really like fuel down low, and the mid for sure. but im leaning you are on the right path and will get it lined out. it should be a runner.
  9. is your dune port a set of 12 ports or just a reg port??? every motor ive seen or played with done by jim likes more fuel in the mid. you might try the 3rd, 4th clip. i would say 50 pilot your close to that, 4th clip maybe 5th and a 145 main on my old 4mm setup i ran a 60 pilot, 5th clip dek, 145 and it was pretty smooth. at 1000ft. you would probably have to lean it a bit for 3000ft but not much. imo.

  11. buddy has 4 of them bikes, he is kinda 8up with them. one he just bought was mint, almost off the show room floor, one of the the previous owner beat the living shit out of it, bought it new in 86 and it still runs, its had a rough life, but it still fires up. i know cobra makes a pipe for it. dont know many other after market stuff im sure there is stuff out there.
  12. first off a set of duals isnt that hard to setup if you have a carb sync and what not, and if your running a single its even easier. a set of stockers would perform better than a single imo.

  15. 800 bucks dale dont you drink that much in beer on a dune weekend lol, yeah if your looking for more power might get more of dune port, they will most likely raise your exh and widen it out some. find some pwk, pj 34s and it should wake it up off ebay. anyways hope to ride with you later this yr if thinks go good. wes
  16. mouse, if things go correctly i should have room in the trailer and need people to help with costs. your more than welcome to go along and all that, the trailer can sleep over 8 so the more the merrier and cheaper for everyone. should be my guess who knows.
  17. a 4mm dune port should pull 15-41 with 20 inch tires pretty easy, i would suggest fattent the bottom end up a bit, like a 50 pilot it might help it out.

  19. if anyone cares or wonders: i found a stock adjuster and it fits into the perch. lot more rigid than that alum thing msr uses.

  22. if possible get some domes that are designed for you porting and setup. the pd will work but custom domes will fit your setup a lot better.

  25. ok does anyone know where to get like a brass or metal slack adjuster by the lever. its a msr raptor, the threads get out a bit and pressure on it breaks the damn thing. anyone??????????
