  1. thats what ive been doing...was just hoping there was some totally sweet trick...oh well
  2. everybody start sending this guy pizzas, magazine subscriptions, male dancers to his house, he'll get the message
  3. What do you guys do to get your bearings out? The 2nd side isnt hard but getting that first side out is a real SOB with the spacer tube in there. its tricky enough on single rows and I expect it to be harder on a dual row. So any tricks? thanks
  4. $2.82 a gallon for 100LL bought a case (12 bottles) of amsoil2000 a while ago for $103 tax included...so $8 a bottle 14oz per 5 gallons...so $3.57 a gallon total..not too bad
  5. either relocate it to the front of the frame or into a cardboard box...it just spills over under the seat
  6. i think hes with lonestar still..races a yfz though
  7. bill ballance korry ellis and i thing shane hitt
  8. I have a deWalt I am quite happy with
  9. gary recommended a piece of sanding screen for sanding drywall...said it was what the draggers use. I thought of set screws but ill probably try another carrier before i start drilling and tapping my expensive swingarm...
  10. Its a quicksand swinger with a quicksand carrier and it worked fine untill about the time I got my +4 stroker. thats when i started noticing it loosening up alittle...now as soon as I gas it i hear a thunk and the chain is slapping. The slot on tube on the swingarm is no where near tight all the way so its not that I need to take material out there. The only thing I can think of is I had it allitle loose once and it spun and gauled the aluminum...maybe its out of round
  11. too bad stewart got hurt in the begining..it would be a real good season this year if he was racing....next year
  12. heres what I did....First you will need a new intake on the carn side. then go to the hardware store and get some rubber plumbing fittings. 2" ID i think. I found some that had grooves for hose clamps and everything. these are for the air box side. The fittings are going to be quite a bit longer than stock plus the added length of the carbs the air box is going to have to go back alot. I cut the tool holder type thing out along with the mounting tabs and zip tied the air box to the frame It ended up working grat and is easier to jet than with the stock airbox....i really wish I had pictures...
  13. At the end of the season last year I had trouble with the carrier spinning in the swingarm. I could not keep my chain tight because of this. I have had the carrier out twice now, to fix it. I tried putting a band of elecrtical tape on the grooves, but it still spun it. Anyone got any ideas for this before I try a new carrier?
  14. you do not need the long rods, they just help out with the reliability iof the engine
  15. if find that comercial highly entertaining
  16. you *could* but your cylenders would be so f-ing high nothing would fit right. wiseco makes a 795 series piston with an offset wrist pin location for the longer rod. bakedmonkey-get the jugs reported for the longer stroke. thats when youll really notice the differnece.
  17. the rear wheels on 87-89 were different. the fronts all have the same pattern
  18. the seal is easy to replace. gotta take the stator cover off and shifter and pegs and such off. then tipt the bike on its side so do oil leaks out when you pull the seal. screw a drywall screw into the seal alittle and pull it out. slip the new seal of the shift shaft and tap in in flush with the case with a long socket. the missing shifts could be a few things. did it only start doing this after the shift star mod? i bet the grabber that grabs the star is out of adjustment or maybe loose. make sure the hooks are equadistant from the pins on the star.
  19. crime in buffalos getting that bad eh? or are you moving to rochester
  20. sodomy wang
  21. Hmmmm...think it will work? full review coming..
  22. wow....I await the day someone makes a billet aluminum seat
  23. AV gas is a good fuel. great for borderline between pump and race gas. I run it with 20cc domes +4 timing and a +4 stroker. Only $2.82 a gallon. If evey slight altitude and temp change messed up jetting it wouldnt work well in planes now would it?
  24. a YFZ all day for MX lighter better suspention setup...if you think a banshee can be made as good you are kidding yourself
  25. If my undersut you mean every other drive dog on the gear cut...I have had it done. It works real well, the gears engange alot more reliably, expecially under throttle
