I ordered some plastic for my project quad (a '86 LT250R) directly from their site because Rocky Mountain didn't have the low profile rear fender and their custom hood. After that, I received an automated e-mail that this was only a confirmation of the order and that I had to wait for them to contact me about the total and the payment instructions. That was over a week ago. I tried to contact them several times, but they don't respond. Does anyone have any experience with ordering plastic directly from the Maier site? Is it normal for them to take this long?

IMO the Duncan Racing bumper is one of the best looking bumper for the Banshee. I''ve hit small trees at higher speeds without bending or damaging the Duncan bumper. First time I see that PRM bumper by the way. Looks pretty trick.

I wouldn't rewire the TORS. If the TORS is really blocked off completely, you're actually better off without it. Are the TORS units on the carbs also removed? If you have the bike in neutral and you give it some throttle, do you have the feeling there is a rev limiter at about 3500 - 4000 RPM?

I had the same problem some time ago and in my case it was the TORS. If I can recall right, you have to disconnect the little black box above your left cylinder, the parking brake sensor and the throttle sensor (correct me if I'm wrong).

A dad of a fellow Banshee rider from Belgium that I know has one. Stock for stock, the GasGas won everytime, but when the Banshee got FMF Fatty's and a Proflow with K&N the Banshee won 8 out of 10 times. Also, from what I've heard, the standard Ohlins in the GasGas quads perform really bad and you have to revalve them if you want better performance out of them. I haven't raced the GasGas yet, but I'll visit the guy in a month or so. I'll try to shoot a vid for you guys.

I've ridden several street legal ATV's and IMO opinion there isn't a better quad for street use than the Banshee. It's mostly about top-end on the road and nothing can beat the Banshee in the top-end area. You just have to avoid the busy parts of town. Only downside I can think of is the noise. Every cop that hears me pulls me over and they all ask ''Is this exhaust system legal?'' ''Yes, officer. It made it through the RDW (Dutch DMV) with it, so it must be.'' They fall for it everytime. CoolBTW that it's also possible make your Banshee street legal in Arizona. If you have the chance, I would definately do it. There's nothing like the face of the people at McDonalds when you run your Banshee through the McDrive.

I think either silver or white. White would look extra cool if you would have black rims (either powdercoated or Hipers). There used to be a white Banshee with black rims in the White Brothers catalog. Looks great!!

I run ProCircuits, but maybe I'll switch to something else if they won't work well with my Trinity ProMX port (does anybody have experience with this pipe-porting-combination?). But I'm still busy building my motor.

I also have a street legal Banshee (I live in the Netherlands). It's a hassle to do an costs a lot over here ($2500 - $3000), but it's definately worth it. Anyway, there was post about this on the old forums. If I can remember right there are about 5 states where it is possible to get your ATV street legal. Wyoming is one of them, but I'm not sure about the other four. I believe that in Wyoming all you need is a horn, 2 front lights, a taillight and a speedo. There used to be a guy on the internet that sold kits to make your Banshee street legal. It included a new swingarm so that you could turn your Banshee into a three wheeler (1 rear wheel). However, I don't know his sites' URL.

I'm not suprprised they stopped producing the Warrior. They've got the Raptor 350 now. Did anyone else notice they added the following text to the Banshee info?:

No, keep the timing at +4 degrees. You should probably be fine with 97 octane fuel. However, I think you are starting to push on the edge of needing higher octane fuel. I run 170 compression, timing +4 and I run 98 octane fuel. It runs fine, but I avoid using old fuel.

I just 'won' a set of MX ported cylinders on eBay, but I still have stock crank. Since I live in the Netherlands, finding a company that can true and weld my stock crank will probably be pretty difficult. So what should I do: look for a shop that can true and weld my stock crank or buy a aftermarket crank? Do aftermarket cranks give any extra advantages? If I should go with a aftermarket crank, which one would you recommend? Thanks in advance for any help. Dan

I agree. The only stickers I have on my Banshee (besides the stock graphics) are Quicksand stickers. Quicksand has been the only company that helped me out with alot of things. BTW: thanks again, Gary.

I tried making DS-style front fenders over a year ago. I liked the look of cut front fenders, but needed fenders because my Shee is street legal and I needed fenders according to the Dutch law. Evil helped me out back then by e-mailing me pics of DS front fenders and the way they were mounted on the spindels. The problem is that you need to mount the fenders on the spindels, otherwise your wheels could hit your A-arms. I never succeeded in making a design that I liked or a design that I felt could withstand offroad riding. So I eventually just bought the Maier race fenders and the optional fender flares. That way I have the look of cut front fenders, but I can easily bolt my front fenders on when I want to ride on the street. I have one tip though: get the Maier fender flares and make your own mounting bracket. This works a lot better than making fenders out of polyester.

Is this guy a moron or what? Says his Banshee will do 130mph and that he invested over $10k in it. Just thought I would share this.

I don't smoke because when I was 14, I promised a old man on Crete (Greece) not to just days before he died. I'm 19 now and still haven't touched a cigarette. I would hate to break that promise. All my friends smoke though. I don't drink anymore either. A few years ago I got really drunk after consuming a huge amount of liquor. I had a terrible hangover for 2 days. I haven't touched a drop of alcohol ever since. Yeah, I know: pretty boring.

Try Dana Creech Racing. First go to store and then click the Blingstar button. They have the polished aluminum and the black powdercoated bumpers.

Thanks for helping me out. I finally got it mounted, but I had to shorten the spacer (the stabalizer was hitting my ProCircuits). Luckily, I didn't had to remove my pipes and radiator, because of a new design of the steering stem mounting bracket (the pic in the manual still showed a U-shaped bracket, this one was round). Thanks again, man.

The UPS-guy just brought the PEP steering stabalizer that I ordered, but I have some trouble mounting it. The problem is that according to the drawings, I have to mount the steering stabalizer at the left engine mount at one side, and at the steering stem at the other. However, the bolt for mounting it to the engine mount is only 3mm thick, while the original bolt was 5mm thick. Am I just doing something wrong or is there another way to mount the steering stabalizer? Thanks in advance, guys.

My first bike was a '93 Blaster. The suspension was crappy and the fenders were cracked, but it was a great bike for beginners. I also bought a '90 XT350 that was in bad shape. I restored it and sold the Blaster and the XT350 to buy my Banshee.

Holy shit! That has to be, without a doubt, the most ugly thing I have ever seen. I feel sorry for the Banshee in the pics.
