  1. OK, I have had this head on my Banshee for over two years now and I have never had a problem with leaking. I just finished with my new motor and I cannot get the head to stop leakin. The first trip out it leaked from the bolts on the top and into the cylinders. I pulled the head off to put new seals into it and the insides of the cylinders were all miky and sludgy from the coolant. I ordered new O-rings from Dave at Noss and I put it all back together (with grease...etc) and I filled it back up with coolant. I let it sit overnight without starting her and there is coolant all over the top of the head around all of the bolts. Torques and patterns were all done. Please help!!! Ken
  2. workin on a buddies motor and having dome issues..... he is running a wiseco +4mm crank with wisecos 795 pistons. When running the motor thru full stroke (by hand) the tops of the pistons are hitting the domes. Both pro-design big bore 19cc's and noss machine 19cc's...the piston is coming up past the top of the cylinder .055" squish meas. The pro-design bb is .044"/noss machine meas. .035". Port timing matched cylinders and pistons, so he does not want to run a baseplate. Any suggestions? 3. I just had the same problem with mine after the rebuild. Mine ended up being the petcock not letting fuel go through the line in the on position. When I would flip to the reserve, then the fuel would start flowing and both pipes started hitting. Pull the fuel line off and check for fuel delivery in both positions. It does sound like only one carb is getting fuel. Let me know if that helps.
  4. BTW, he has T-6's with 300 mains, stock pilots, needle in the fourth. no airbox with Toomey 2 into 1 setup. stock domes with cool head and stock reeds. Tors is disconnected. thanks.
  5. Just got the new top end put all back together on my cousins bike and when we first fired it up the left cylinder would not fire. I pulled the plug and kicked it and it had compression, next checked spark....ouch...yup it has it..lol. So we decided to pull the carb thinking that something was in there. Pulled the bowl sprayed it and reinstalled and that cylinder worked. The next day, same thing...no fire. Why is this intermitent? Only seems to do it when cold. any suggestions, dont want to blow the new motor.
  6. That would be great. Thanks. I can wait another day for you guys. I still have some work to do on the shee anyways. I also live in El Cajon so PM me with the details and we will hook up.
  7. I am off work at noon on Wednesday the 26th. I will be heading out soon after that. Just me, the shee and a kick ass built up LT-80 for the pit bike. Just looking to meet up with a group to have a good time, displace some sand, drag the hills, etc....
  8. I am coming from the San Diego area and I do not have anyone to ride with for the big Thanksgiving weekend. I will go to either Gordons or Glamis....does not matter. Anyone willing to take me in. Let me know
  9. Lets here some sound clips of those banshee's.
  10. anyone have sound clips for the DMC's?
  11. I was out at Gordons Well for Halloween and the bike ran awesome. I started to have problems at the sand drags though with the tranny getting stuck in fifth gear after every run. I would have to have someone pull me about five feet to get the shifter to go back down through the gears. Any ideas on what would be causing it to get hung up in fifth? I am running Castol GTX 20w50 motor oil in the case.
