  1. After a leak check, I found a tear in the left intake manifold. After replacing it, the bike ran better, but the the left pipe is still not warming up. The idle screws are making contact with the slide, the pilot jets are clear and the choke tube is in place. All are great ideas, but the problem still remains. After fiddling around with it, I have noticed a fair amount of gas has built up in the left exhaust. I a going to take it out to the dunes this weekend and see if it just needs to be blown out. Will check in on Monday with the results.
  2. I will check for an air leak and let you know. Someone suggested checking the float needle adjustment. What do you think?
  3. I am running 32.5s on the pilots and have checked them. They seem to be clear.
  4. I did try to adjust the idle with no result and the carbs are clean as well as synched.
  5. Since I rebuilt my top end with a one over bore and wiseco pistons, cool head with 18cc domes, stock carbs with 300 jets, carbon-tech reeds, K&N filter, 4 degree advance stator, tors removed with twist throttle and toomey T5's, I have had a problem with the left cylinder not idleing on its own and the pipe not warming up(luke warm at best). The right cylinder is idleing but a bit high and the pipe warms normally. I have tried everything to slow the idle on the right side with no luck. Once the engine is revved, the left cylinder comes to life and the bike runs perfectly. At idle, the left pipe smokes and the right doesnt. I tried changing plugs and after a spark test have found that there is good spark. Any ideas?
  6. I have a 97 banshee that fires up on the 1st or 2nd kick. As it warms up during a ride, it sputters/cuts out under any condition. As it gets hot, it completely dies. After a 1 to 2 minute cooling period, it fires back up until it gets hot again then dies etc. etc. Any ideas other than a new stator? Iam running a new top end with a cool head and 18cc domes. TORS removed, 300 jets, and race fuel 50/50 with pump. I have the K&N filter and T-5s. I do all of my riding in the dunes and tend to ride on the fast side. Pretty much, the more the bike warms up, the worse it runs until it finally dies. It is not overheating and starts up again after a breif cool down. The carbs and filter are both clean and the stator appears to be fine. Hope this helps.
