I tried doing a search for this but nothing came up that I was looking for. I was out riding and hit a puddle and my shee shut down until it dried out.

What do I have to do to keep it from crapping out on me every time it gets wet?

clean all electrical fittings and make sure the connections are good and sealed from the elements.Your not sucking in water into the carbs are you? Maybe your stator got wet.

this is definitely electrical. Is there a way to waterproof the stator and coil.

If you want to go through water, sell the Banshee and get a Grizzly or King Quad.

I need to be able to ride through puddles that come up to the foot pegs and not have to worry about getting stranded until it dries out, I am not looking to turn it into a submarine.

Thanks for the reply

There is a little rubber plug on the stator side that goes into the case, just in front of the drive sprocket. The stator cover pushes down on it so it can't come out. Make sure that piece is still in there. Also make sure you stator cover gasket is good and not torn., and that stator cover bolts are tight. Get some dielectric grease and fill all of your wiring harness connections with them.

You should be alright after that. As long as the spark plugs dont get really wet. Unless of course you have some burnt wires that are shorting when they get wet.

Hope this helps.

If not I guess you could spray your bike down with the hose while its running to see where your issue it. I wouldnt advise it if your not using the stock air box.
