Mixing vp red with gas!

I was recently told that when advance my timing i should mix a 50/50 combo...but for now i have a dune port and that i should do atleast a 25% of vp........but my dad bought me c12 instead of vp red..is it ok to use c12?

C12 is a better fuel then RED. Red is supose to be there economy fuel. But you can get Sunoco, or Citgo, or Turbo Blue for way cheaper then VP's Red.

What exactly do you mean 25% then 50/50??? I think with 160 compression you would be borderline with a 93 octane pump gas. I would probably run something around a 110 octane 50/50 with a high octane pump gas.

 

The 50/50 is the ratio of your race gas with your pump gas. I am not sure what you mean by the 25%. Your not confusing this with your gas to oil ratio, are you?
