Misssppelllleddd Posted July 14, 2008 Report Posted July 14, 2008 Are you trying to put a R6 shock on a 'shee? Why the fuck would you do that? Quote
sheefreak Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 You have to drill the shock to accept the stock bolts. Not shure what size. The bottom eyelet is hardened and is a bitch to drill. You will want to address the front as well though, you will be loooowwwwww in the rear. 300ex shocks work perfect to level her out. They bolt right up. I purchased the newer style R6 shock w/the rezzy up and down instead of sideways(red spring as well). Jt turned me on to this setup and he may be more help. It works absolutely perfect w/10 in swinger for height and valving. Quote

badassbanshee479 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 R6 Rear shock, 300ex front shocks, link style swinger, 10 over. The shock works really well as long as your not a real heavy guy! Its a tad soft with my 250lb ass on it but it works great for my bro who is 155. Yes you have to drill the sleeves alittle bigger to accept the stock bolts. I tried drilling the hardened sleeve with no luck so I just spun a new one up on the lathe at work. I am sure you could drill the sleeve with alittle effort I like to play on the lathe when theres nothing going on. Here is a pick of my bike with the shock on it Quote

badassbanshee479 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 nope, but I did machine a spacer to put alittle more preload on the spring. other than that it bolted right up! Quote

badassbanshee479 Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 thats what its designed to do. then ya run 300ex shocks on the front. I run this setup to lower the bike down for drag racing. Quote
