HillShooter AZ
How many teeth for rear and back sprockets for 1/4 flat drag? Will 14/42 work? I'm a sand drag guy (hillshooter) Thanks for any help!

06BaNsHeE
depends on motor size and tire size and weight of rider but dont think that gearing will make a whole 1/4 mile
HillShooter AZ
I'm running a stock motor with some mods and I weight in at 220.

desertdeweller
they let you run the full 1/4 in tucson? last time I was out at speedworld in surprise they would only let the quads run 1/8 mile. But I think you will need to change the gearing for that maybe 15 or even 16 front
trex banshee
for 1/4 mile your gonna need more than 14/42 even with a 21" tall tire. i run 17/44 with 18" tire in the 1/8th mile and run out of gear. granted the 3 inches you have me on tire will help a bunch but i have you on gearing by quite a bit. Ive never been able to run 1/4, so i can't tell you for sure but my guess with that tire height i would say atleast 17/41 and higher and thats if your motor will pull the gear.
