yamaha_daniel Posted June 9, 2008 Author Report Posted June 9, 2008 (edited) Bigger pics perhaps? lol okay where i live at i cant get any other kind of internet besides dial up so im working with what i got Edited June 10, 2008 by yamaha_daniel Quote
KEVSWS6 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 The problem might be the stocker has a much smaller internal passage way. With a pingle you have to drill the tank inlet much bigger. The internal passage way in the pingle is much bigger then it splits into the two bigger outlets. If you look at a pingle side by side with the stocker you can see the much bigger internal passage way. It is a great idea if you can hog out the inside of the stocker. Quote
monster_energy06 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 lol okay where i live at i cant get any other kind of internet besides dial up so im working with what i got not bad... i was thinkin of drilling mine from under instead of having it stick on on the other side.. just a thought.. were did u get the fitting ive looked everywere cant find them Quote
okbeast Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Yeah it'll only flow out as much as what goes in. I'd be curious to try to connect the reserve and the main inlets, that'd be enough flow IMO, haven't looked at 'em very close though. Quote
sliderbkt Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 I just finished doing the same to mine. I made a crossover between the "reserve" and "on" channels to let more in. The filters are the most restrictive part, so hopefulley two will be better. I ported everywhere the fuel flows. I made the channel bigger, and gasket matched it. The last thing I did was to open up the port infront of where the two outlets are. Basically I wasted 3 hours. But, I had fun. Quote

sliderbkt Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Did you make 2 outlets or just one? Two, I did the same thing. I drilled out the opposite side, and pressed in a pipe. Quote
okbeast Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Two, I did the same thing. I drilled out the opposite side, and pressed in a pipe. Ah so that's the trick? lol see i told you it would get out. Do those nipples just press in? Quote
sliderbkt Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Ah so that's the trick? lol see i told you it would get out. Do those nipples just press in? Well the trick may be out, but the truth is that it's a pain in the ass. It's worth more than $5 to have it done. Quote
yamaha_daniel Posted June 10, 2008 Author Report Posted June 10, 2008 lol waaaa laaaaaa thats how its done if you noticed in one of my first posts i said " i modify it" that would be the inside i port it out each hole and also connect the reserve and main hole . CRAP i knew someone would let it out lol i was just testing the hq members anyway i got the fitting off a car fuel filter i just hack it off there ...yes they just press in i put a drop of lock tight on mine .....Ill still do it for anyone who wants it done ....for those of you who want to do it yourself ill be putting up a build thread as soon as i can get around to it . now that the cat is out of the bag. shanYE west Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 I think it would flow pretty good.. Wish someone could test it along side a pingle to check flow rate. Quote
gregrob Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 All you have to do is take a pingle and let it flow into your prover cup with a stop watch. See how many liters it puts out in say, 30 seconds then multiply by 2 to get LPM. Then do the same with your modded stock valve and compare... Of course things would change when there is a suction on the valves with the engine running, because of the larger internal passageways of the pingel as Kevin was saying, it would give you a good indication of how it compares though. Another thing that needs to be addressed is the restrictive stock tee in the fuel lines... and drilling out the gas cap as Kevin said too. Not gonna get any more fuel out if you can't get any more air in, and if you can't push the fuel through that puny stock tee. Quote
camatv Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 ohhhh.. you can also drill and tap out the back of the stocker and do it that way then rip the tubes out and remove those filters. use an inline filter if you really need to. the check vavle in the stock cap can come out and flow more air than ever needed, OR you can cheap it and buy a rockymountain BILLET cap for 25.00,, those flow plenty of air. unless your running alky you probably wont suck your carbs dry from lack of fuel. ALSO the needle and seat can only flow so much fuel.. i have modified stocker single valves because i didnt want to spend the $$$$ on a pingle for alky they will flow a lot of fuel plenty to feed a 44mm alky carb with dual powerjets and a cr500.. unless your on nitro or have a HUGE motor again its not really necessary some people just like having 2 fuel lines,, i think it looks cleaner.. i dont think the guy is making any money at 5.00 wow..
