87bansheeguy Posted June 8, 2008 Author Report Posted June 8, 2008 sell your 21 year old banshee and buy a gun.... cause all the problems your gonna have with it will drive you mad! Well honestly my father is the 1st owner it sat for 18 years because i was born he didnt have time to ride it and he never had to replace anything besides the cdi box another reason why it sat. ive been riding it for about a year or 2 all ive had to do was replace the chain and now im starting to mod it so far i have fmf gold series fatty pipes with powercore II, boost bottle(i know they suck), aftermarket reeds, adustable stator plate going to be set at 4+, 15 tooth sprocket, 22inch rear tires, and im desiding on shaving my heads to .025 or 0.030. Any other sugestions to get at 45 or 50 hp?? THis is a very reliable quad Quote
SQUIRREL MASTER Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 not a fan of the pipes your currenlty using. i would sell your pipes and look for some cpi's thats just my opinion and you can throw your boost bottle away to. Quote
shanYE west Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 what type of riding do you do? I think your on the right track! Only thing I'd change in your list would be the head.. Rather then get it shaved I'd look into a after market head.. It'll give you more options down the road with the interchangeable domes. Other then that.. I think you got a pretty nice sounding setup! Quote

I think you'd be satisfied with the performance gain of a coolhead, especially if your looking for a bump in low-end power. + they look great! Also as far as the money goes it comes with the territory,....... fast is expensive! Quote

Ok so 21cc domes sound like the way to go now wont i get the same performance from a stock chrome cylinder head milled to 21cc Quote
shanYE west Posted June 8, 2008 Report Posted June 8, 2008 its not just the compression.. its also the dome configuration. When you cut the stock head it also needs to be rechambered. After you get it cut.. make sure you double check your squish. Quote
