bunboy1 Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 hi all, i just completed a fresh top and bottom rebuild. when idling, i notice that the left cylinder is not putting out as much exhaust as the right. why is it doing this, thanks. Quote
huskyohilux Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 sinc the carbs.... ^^Agree, had the same problem a couple of days ago. Synced the carbs and problem went away. I think the easiest way to see when they are in sync is when the slides are almost fully raised and dissapear behind the top of the hole going horizontally throgh the carbs. Altleast on the flat slides, dunno about the round slides. Quote
BBB Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I am having a similar problem I had quite a few people tell me to sync the carbs and did it myself and thought maybe it was wrong so I took it to yamaha and had them do it but it still didnt fix the problem I can get the left side to push strong if I pull the carb and remove all the little brass things and put them back in even though there was nothing in it it will fire fine untill you shut it off and try riding it the next day it just will not push untill you take the left carb off and remove everthing and put it back together Quote
bunboy1 Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 i synced my carbs already. when i push on the throttle, the white punch marks on the slides come up and down at the same time through the windows. is there anther way to sync them? i also have the tors removed, and when i spray carb cleaner i found a leak in the left idling screw. does anybody have any ideas on how to stop the leak? thanks Quote
