Natemills8 Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 I got just about everything you need I got Grand River Drag Pipes one out each side +8 swinger & 34mm alky carbs with adjustable powerjets everything came off my bike that blow up last saterday it was just bored .20 over & ran a 3.72 Quote
okbeast Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 I'm not really sure, haven't seen many bikes like this run but sounds like the above setup can run 3.7's then yours could have that possibility. Quote
superbogger Posted May 4, 2008 Author Report Posted May 4, 2008 um yea a 3.72 would be an AWSOME number to pull!!! Quote
moneybags Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 um yea a 3.72 would be an AWSOME number to pull!!! That would be more then imperssive with only 34's... Quote
dajogejr Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 um yea a 3.72 would be an AWSOME number to pull!!! I thought I read a few pages back you're 220 lbs, is that right? You're not getting a 4 mil cub to run 3.72s, period. If you had a super light drag frame, a 75 lb rider and everything on that bike was tuned to perfection, it would still be damn near impossible. Trust me on this one, don't set the bar so high. You'll have a low 4 second bike..... Quote

Quote
okbeast Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I guess that's true, Dave's 10mil was runnin around those numbers. Quote
dajogejr Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 not even... With a good light rider on a good hooking track, 3.9 or 3.8...and that's on a very good run. Quote
Doug Austin Posted May 4, 2008 Report Posted May 4, 2008 I rememeber the first time I went down a dragstrip. I was in shock! Went up and told them there clocks were wrong I know I went faster then that! Point is the first time to the track is usually a humbeling experiance Quote
superbogger Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 yes im a solid 220 and i never said i would run those numbers i just said that would be impressive to do! went to the track last night and got the itch even more! i drove about 3hrs to look at a frame yesterday and found a frame today! its sharp!! so im well on my way got a few things to do to it when i pick it up on friday im pretty excited! now im lookin for a cheap stock motor so i can put all the goods in it! Quote
dajogejr Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 Being 220 and having an average stock, 4, 7 or 10 mil motor....without NOS or any other power adder, 3.999 is quite an accomplishment on a stock or suspended, lightened chassis.... I just didn't want to see you get your hopes up....that's all. It would be beyond impressive. Quote
superbogger Posted May 5, 2008 Author Report Posted May 5, 2008 not gettin my hopes up at all i know the numbers im shooting for and high 3's i dont think are in my near future Quote
dajogejr Posted May 5, 2008 Report Posted May 5, 2008 Didn't mean to sound like a jerk or anything...either. If I came across that way...sorry. Don't forget, going to different tracks can be like using different dynos, as well. Compared against each other, normally the results will vary, apples to oranges. But used against itself for performance measures, it's a good idea... Quote
