I wont ride a trail bike anymore without one. Had a pep on my banshee and it made a huge differance. No more sharp feedback through the handelbars. Steering feels much smoother in the trails

Are your carbs from packard?
-
The pvl does work..REALLY..lol
-
WHAT!! What are you saying here??? People wouldnt lie would they? Hoppers is a 4 mil right? LOL
-
if the kill leads from each coil are connected in any way it wont spark. Something about feedback. Any single switch designed for a pvl would require two leads with a diode inside to prevent this. If all else fails HERE is a link to there troubleshooting web page.

Man I'm jealous!! Been running around all day like a madman thinking of you guys tearing it up :shoothead: It's just not right!! lol -
I know you said you disconnected the teather and you had one that works for a pvl. Do you have the two kill leads pigtailed together in any way? Is this a new unit?
-
I rememeber the first time I went down a dragstrip. I was in shock! Went up and told them there clocks were wrong I know I went faster then that! Point is the first time to the track is usually a humbeling experiance

LOL I see I'm not the only one who has to try and sneak in a little time here and there to wrench on the toys ::

Firehead I'm curious did you figure this out?
-
I ran a pvl for years. Never a problem with it. Simple to set up and a nice clean package. BUT I cant say I ran any faster with it. For what it cost I beleive my money could have been better spent. Dave the gremlins I was having towards the end of the year wasnt the ignition. The seaction of one dome broke inside the oring ( the small divider between it and the chamber). It leaked a little coolant and trashed the top of the cylinder $$$. Still ran 4.09 like that lol Going to go back to a stock cdi with a nology coil this year to satisfy my curiosity. Firehead when I first installed mine I didnt see any spark. After a few calls and bit of panic I checked it again with the lights off and a good hard kick and it sparked. They have a rather weak spark until the rpms come up. Grounds are very important as you have heard. I grounded the coils to the frame and then a ground from there to the side cover and one to head as well. Be sure you have the small and large spade connectors plugged in properly. The small pigtail off the coils is for the kill switch's. You have two teathers correct? I tried running one and it wouldt run
-
What he said!! If you run with out them then you need other means of keeping the motor from moving under power. Ever feel like your chain is skipping teeth under power? Either its loose or the motor is moving. The stock mounts are fine for a trail bike but for a drag bike I think more is needed. Either a torque bar mounted on the side of the motor. I dont have one so no pics for ya . Here is a pic of what I run on my drag bike.

There not the same. Far cry 2 coming later this year. I built a new computer to play the new generation of games. Crysis is simply amazing when played on a high end machine. Would be even better if they would support dual video cards like cod4 does. Another excellent game
