kylechs04 Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 Drained the gear oil in the NEW shee and its purple. Im pretty sure the only purple oil that i know of is Royal Purple but im not sure what weight to go with? Quote
theshee Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 If you want to use royal purple in the clutch and tranny, you can get this stuff from them that is called syncromax. Its made for manal trannies and clutches. I used it for a while, it worked fine but there is no advantage to it over regular 30 weight oil... it cost twice as much as regular 30 weight too. Quote

theshee Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 yeah it doesnt really matter.. Honestly I would just get some cheap ass 30 weight and change it more often, cheap and new is better then expesive old stuff. Quote
nastybynature Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 I run Klotz Superflex 30 and change it when it is not pretty red anymore. Quote
locogato11283 Posted April 24, 2008 Report Posted April 24, 2008 i use bel-ray 10w-40 in my tranny. Quote
Snopczynski Posted April 25, 2008 Report Posted April 25, 2008 I would not run royal purple. We had a few guys using it and had nothing but problems with their trannies slipping and even a clutch getting ate up bad and taking out a right side crank seal and crank bearing. Quote
