  1. When you order the shocks you have to tell them your bike set up, your weight and riding style so they can custom build them for you to suit your needs.
  2. Like everyone else on here I have way too much money into my shee but my Lonestar+2+1 a-arms and Elka dune edition shocks are worth every penny IMHO.
  3. My nephew found this 2 years ago when we did a week in Half Moon Bay. It was much more difficult then it was 3 months ago when we were down there for a week. My bike got pretty warm trying to get up it as well and I am fairly certain I went through half of my clutch in the 20+ tries before I finally made it. Last time we were there I made it up first try.
  4. I love my Elka Dune Editions with my +2+1. They are only dual rate and have no reservoir but the difference is night and day!
  5. FTW 2timer Or I am thinking of putting this on mine; Alcoholic Or maybe my screen name....
  6. Up until this last rebuild I was running a 4mil on 110 with full fenders and heel guards that looked completely stock except for pipes, and K&N's. The swinger was +4 but was the stock style so you had to really know what you were looking at to tell the difference. I was running 22x11x10 9 paddle extremes so the tires were not an obvious sign of massive modifications. Many times I would pull up next to the blinged out bikes that were "fast" and by the end of the race they were trying to catch up to me to find out what was done to my bike. Point being that looks can be deceiving. I am still running stock cylinders on my 421 on alky and I expect many people to under estimate the bike because of the lack of bling and overall stock looking motor. Although the +8 and 72" R.O. paddles make it much more obvious there is something there. However If it is jetted, piped and the timing is advanced it could be a bit of a runner although I would tend to believe there may be some porting that has been done even if they don't cop to it. Just my $.02.
  7. These paddles work great........ on my daughters stock blaster. I would not even think of putting them on anything with real power that you are wanting any kind of performance out of. That said... I now run the 22" (72 R.O.) 10 paddle Ultra Lites on my shee for dune riding.
  8. I used to run Klotz R-50 when I was on 110. I had to switch to the Klotz Super Techniplate now that the bike is an alcoholic. I like the smell of both but miss the smell of the race w/R-50.
  9. What is your SLD screen name? I have family obligations for Turkey Day otherwise I would love to come down. My mother makes a big deal about it and I work the weekend after. We are doing a week at Coos Bay KOA in mid December though so I plan on making up for it then. Hopefully you guys get good weather!

  10. Ditto. Except I haven't had mine for 2 years but they are a great tire.
  11. Can buy them at Cascade for $675 with silencers. http://67.199.65.66/...ore_dept_id=101
  12. I live in Vantucky also. Born and raised. Can't run with the big boys as I only have a stock cylinder 4mil but I love to watch em and I am always looking for people to ride with.

  13. Once you have rode with a hauler you will never want to use anything else. I ride all kinds of bikes on all kinds of terrain but my shee has never been on anything but sand. I am the original owner so I know this. The kind of sand you are riding will make a difference. The sand we have here in Oregon is like ball bearings if you look under a microscope. My understanding is the sand at Glamis is more of a flat, flake type. I plan on finding out in December when we make the 1200 mile trip down there. I have a 4mil with a +4 and just went from Skat Trak 22x11x10 9pdl extreme to a 22x11x8 10 pdl hauler sls. I love these tires and my bike is a dunning bike that I love to drag with and do tree shots and trails as well. I would say you get what you pay for and the skat trak is the tire for the people that know. If you only ride 2 times a year in sand all the more reason to make the experience the best it can be. I say spend the money and get some good haulers. I know for a fact you will not regret it.
  14. Haven't posted much here as I am usually on a local forum dedicated to primarily sand but I lurk often. Think I observed all the etiquette for this forum. 22x11x10 9 paddle extremes w/yamaha blue labels. Will ship at your cost. going to 8" wheels. http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/mcy/
  15. NYUK saved my buddies ass! We have this big trip coming up Monday we have been planning since November and his lower A Arm needed replaced. NYUK shipped us out a set on Tuesday and we got them today. My buddy will have his shee ready to go in time. THANKS NYUK!!
  16. Fuck him. He's a doushebag. God Bless America and God Bless Boobs!!
  17. Underwear dust One evening a husband, thinking he was being funny, said to his wife 'Perhaps we should start washing your clothes in Slim Fast. Maybe it would take a few inches off of your butt!' His wife was not amused, and decided that she simply couldn't let such a comment go unrewarded. The next morning the husband took a pair of underwear out of his drawer. 'What the Hell is this??' he said to himself as a little 'dust' cloud appeared when he shook them out. 'April,' he hollered into the bathroom, 'why did you put talcum powder in my underwear?' She replied ...'It's not talcum powder......It's 'Miracle Grow'
  18. I run Klotz Superflex 30 and change it when it is not pretty red anymore.
  19. I wish. We re just doing a day trip on Sunday to Sandlake. Have a good ride!
  20. Jetting sounds good. 32:1 should work fine for you. You may get away with 40:1 in the winter but in the heat I would run 32:1. I was worried about noise too that is why I went with the Cascade silencers. No loss in HP and suppossed to be under the 93 limit. I have been told by several that when the cops see the Cascade silencers they don't even look twice or bother testing. I know they are pretty quiet. You would be OK at Sandlake but might have some issues if they test you at Florence, Winchester or Coos Bay with the numbers you say you are at.
  21. I run 32:1 Klotz R-50 or HP2. What are you going to do as far as re-jetting the carbs?
  22. I was worried about my pipes being too loud also when I put the Fattys on so I went with a Cascade Silencer. Suppossed to be less than 93dB. I haven't been tested yet but they are way quieter then my power core 2 on my daughter's blaster or on my yz125. I think they look sik and sound tite too! Video of what they sound like. Where to buy them. http://webforce.nwrain.net/founder/cascade...tore_dept_id=12 And BTW, I am lucky enough to have a wife that loves to ride my banshee almost as much as she loves to ride me. ;-) Tony '06 Banshee SE
