05Special Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Have to get it running by friday.. I absolutely can not get it to idle.. Off the start it bogs real bad but rip up top...I'm running pro circuits ported, vf3's. The carb is a 2 into 1 with a keihin 35m. Main is a 190 and the pilot is a 55 air scew 1 1/2 turns out with the clip in the middle. I'm 200 above sea level at 70 degrees.. I believe the pilot may be too big. if I try starting out in 2nd to get up a hill it will actually stall.. Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 did you remove the little black box under the left side of the gas tank? That will make it not idle. Quote
elwilliams13 Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 I am having trouble with the same set up. So far I know you need to make sure the float is set at 11mm from the crease on the float itself across from your needle and seat. The needle is also a big deal on those carbs. The cosensus here is to use a EEJ needle. I am at sealevel and have a 48 pilot. Hope it helps you some. Quote
