robert.b.west Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Can I just remove the parking brake line. I know I also need to something with the safety switch there but do I need to just cut the wires and leave them open or do I need to short them. (I am assuming leave them open) Quote
Bansh-eman Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 just follow it down to the plug and disconnect it. you should remove all your TORS if you havent done so already. you can remove the ebrake but you will have a little pocket on the caliper thats open. so you can buy a block off plate for like 15 bucks but you dont "have" to have it Quote
Animalman294 Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 When I removed mine I also took a four inch grinder to the parking brake part that sticks out on the clutch lever............. Quote

I was planning on getting it ported this summer so I figured I would need new carbs anyway so I did not see the point of doing it. Quote

BellicoseBanshee Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Yes, you can bypass the 'electrical' portion of the system and still use the 'mechanical' portion of the system. Unplug the carb switches, the throttle switch, and the control unit switch and the electrical portion will be bypassed. Then put the control unit in your bench vise and give it a little 'love' and turn it into a pancake. Quote
