pasedogg Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 will DG head pipes(not sure wich ones)fit with pro circuit 304 silencer pipes. Quote
Snopczynski Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 No telling for sure, but probably not. Quote
pasedogg Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 serius dude. i cant find a good spot to get DG silencers. toomys work well on the DG's.somone give me hope , i dont wana get rid of the DG's as im half way of a shiny set, lol, dont care about performance as much, a banshee is a banshee.where do i get DG silencers and good service. Quote
pasedogg Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 looks like the size will fit no problem. but what happens whenit doesnt work. engine runs poorly?????cus i got stock silencers on the DG's and runs like crap, threw toomys silencers on the DG's worked fine. somone told me stockers will work if jetted right. wouldnt pro circuit also work as long as its jetted right. they will fit nice thats for sure. Dinner Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 You shouldn't have to re-jet if you change silencers. I don't think silencers do all that much for performance do they? But then again I suppose aftermarket Silencers will flow better than the stock silencers?, maybe? Quote
pasedogg Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 i nevr thought it did much either, im getting mixed messages. the ebay site i got the pipes from say power core 304 mounts to stock or aftermarket expansion chamber. i just wana know im not gunna get somethin for nuthing. Quote
Snopczynski Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 If you never re-jetted with the dg pipes it needs to be done. The dg pipes are shit pipes, they are typically known for not making much good usable power as they are a shit set of pipes. Silencers stingers and outlets need to match or be bigger than the pipe stinger outlet size. Quote
pasedogg Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 ya i bought it with DG pipes, stock silencers. was soposed to be jetted for it, but never ran it for 5 minutes b4 i knew it was screrwed up. a little test trying the toomy silencers on the end showed the DGs and jetting are good. the stock silencers though cant work with that setup. It looks like the ends will fit if thats what u mean by stinger.im hoping the pro ciruit 340 is close to toomeys, t5s i think Quote

Trying to help your jetting out by going through different silencers is well pointless in my opinion. The jetting could have not even been adjusted for the pipes and the reason it is running shitty is because the damage is already done...that is only a possibility, not saying that is the reason. Fiddling with everything else, other than the jetting itself trying to get the jetting perfect is like changing your plugs so your jetting is better... You say you switched from stock silencers to the toomey's and your Banshee ran better? Maybe it's just me, but do silencers actually affect that much?(snopczynski maybe you can help me,lol) Quote
Snopczynski Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 The silencers will affect performance if they limit the exhaust ability to well exhaust itself less than the silencers that were designed for the pipes. Silencers are usually designed for the pipes they are paired with. Quote

Silencers are usually designed for the pipes they are paired with. Will they affect performance enough to make his bike go from running crappy to running/jetted properly? That's all I'm wondering, lol. I understand that other silencers will flow different depending on the pulses of their own pipe, owell :geek: Quote
Snopczynski Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 He just needs to put a set on and try to jet it. If its lean with new silencers on it (different flow), it will run like crap or blow up. Quote
pasedogg Posted April 11, 2008 Author Report Posted April 11, 2008 ya, thats why i dont drive it, hast been more then 50 feet from garage since i got it. i like the fact my buddy tried the pipes, i didnt like the idea of stockers on aftermarket anyway.hopefully this works, lets here some logics and facts, lol.to buy or not to buy, whole sets arent the question.jetting will come, but stockers gotta go.then i will begin jetting . pasedogg Posted April 11, 2008 Author Report Posted April 11, 2008 (edited) do the DG type 2 silencers work on all dg head pipes, cus thats option 2, but doesnt look long enough, needs a middle peice, need dg help, no haters, i got it for chrome, not for performance, plus it was free. IrideA250R Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 do you plan on correctly jetting the bike? Quote
