tnGRbanshee Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 (edited) i was reading the paper that was in with my prolites it says to drill two holes centered on the exhaust port not going to waist your time on the exact dimensions. have any of you heard of this or done it .im not really sure if its nececary ive installed alot of pistons and never heard of this any info on this would be greatly appreciated also they are supposed to be lube holes and they only drill half the wthickness of piston skirt :: :: sorry about my spelling fingers not cooperating today Edited April 4, 2008 by tnGRbanshee Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted April 4, 2008 Report Posted April 4, 2008 The oil holes are for cylinders with an exhaust bridge, like an ATC/TRX250R... The exhasut bridge must be properly relieved, and the oil holes are necessary to lubricate the bridge, it is a definite hot spot. The newer Wiseco pistons for the Rs come with two larger sized holes now instead of two smaller holes. Many people will drill a third hole for added protection. :geek: Quote
