Well i was putting my plastic on and bolting it up, but when i started to screw in the one bolt on the right side of the gas tank it just kept spinning and spinning. Then i tried to take it out and for the life of me the threaded insert just kept spinning and spinning and i tried for a while trying to put pressure on it and reafing the hell outa it and the buggin bolt wont come out...then i just broke it off with about a quarter inch stud hanging out GOD DAMMIT ALL TO HELL...so how am i going to get this out? Almost going to say eff it and get a cheepo tank on the bay. Any idears fellas? I cant take a pic because the old lady has the cam today but i know you know what im talking about!

I know this is a little old, but I'm in the same situation....

Anyone have any suggestions?

All I can think of is getting a new tank...or welding on a piece of another bolt to the stripped one and then attaching the plastic with a nut.

you can get a plastic welding kit, or a torch if your good with it, and reseal down the nut in the plastic of the tank. if that doesnt work, just hold it witha chissel, then epoxy it tigh once the broke bolt is out.
