Anybody run into there tie rods hitting on the shock when they turn all the way on -2 plus 3 1/2 arms? When i install my shocks there gonna hit the shock even if i put just struts on them they will do the same thing. the tie rod stops right in the middle of the bottom shock bracket.

It'll happen, the tie rod hitting the shock...no worries, just no donuts

Cool i got worried there for a second. Then realized when i need to turn that sharp i'm gonna have to be going idle speed to begin with and not doin donuts. It's really not that bad and helps me out to begin with since it will stop my handlebars from hitting my plastics.

You'll also notice with the arms being -2 the front shocks will be MUCH stiffer as well.

When I had stock A Arms and my Marvin Shaws, they moved...

With my Tyson J Arms, not sure if they are -1 or -2...but my damn shocks don't move hardly at all...it's like struts damn near...

i was wondering the samething when i get mine.but glad somebody posted it so i wouldn't be scratching my head

I know try ordering shocks at the length for the arms you have then going in the garage and looking at my bike and noticing the rods are gonna hit. freaked me out kinda wish it didn't do it but guess you can't help it.

What if you called Metal tech or GT and see if maybe they could custom make some rods with a bend to clear the shock? Might cost a lil.. but might be worth it if it can be done.

I was looking at that last night right at the end like you said if they curved it to wrap around the shock it would work out. But it's getting them matched up on both sides and getting everything adjusted right.

Did Dan have this problem when he had these arms?

he did but he was using stock shocks and figured they'd clear with marvins.

I'm sure metal tech or GT could make them rods and make them match so that they could be adjusted evenly. Give'em a call. Whata got to loose.. besides more money.
