krispy05shee Posted March 19, 2008 Report Posted March 19, 2008 I have an all stock bike that I just put on CPI inframes w/o the airbox lid needle in the 3rd notch and my airscrews 1.5 turns out and a 350 main. I live in Kansas and ride in Oklahoma ( not much elevation diff.) and still geting a wet white plug. Runs good, no lean pop and idles down good, is this normal to have such a big main and still be lean? Everyone else I have spoke to and has looked at it have been puzzled about it can anybody help? I really don't wanna blow up a new bike! Quote
krispy05shee Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 Wet white plug??? What are your pilots? 30s Quote
RadarRacing Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 If it runs good like that then go up on the mains till it runs like crap under a load in a higher gear then go down. The reasons bikes need bigger mains then what everybody else uses are, air leak in carb boots, intake, gaskets, base gaskets, and just the differences in each bike. Go up on the mains till it sputters under a load. Quote
