  1. This weekend I'm gonna swap the front fenders out with a set I have cut already, I'll snap a few pics while I've got em off, looks like an awesome idea if you rode in the blazing summer heat, learned a long time ago July and August trips to the dunes is for the birds..
  2. Either way run the shit outta it and have fun! That I will do!
  3. Damn that's not what I wanted to hear!! It's making its maiden voyage to the dunes tomorrow, I guess we'll see if really runs worth a shit on the sand.. And it did come from Mississippi, got the title with it. Maybe I'll just take a sharpie to his etch job
  4. hey guys, i picked up a super clean 01 banshee the other day from and older gentleman that informed me that he didnt know much about it other than the pipes, filter and had "motor modifications". on the side of the intake it has ALL PRO etched into the side of it, i have not pulled anything apart to look and see what kind of porting has been done to it. just curious if anyone has heard of this company/guy? Seems to run excellent across the board. Another thing ive never seen before is an extra radiator that is under the nose of the front plastics, it has about 5 tubes snaking back and forth with round fins coming off of it. just wondering if anyone knows where this came from (may not even be a banshee related part) i may try an post pics of it when i get the front plastics off. Anyway thanks for any info on etiher one
  5. What would you let the rear go for?
  6. I spoke with john at sandtoyz unlimited, hoping he can get me set up with somthing this week
  7. I need the adjustment screws for mikuni long nozzle powerjets, i dont really wanna mess with the drop in style like its set up for, does anyone know where i can get these fast? Need em before sandfest
  8. To much compression can accually hurt you, causes the motor to work against itself, I run 21cc cut 9 degrees, my compression is around 160, squish is about 49 thou. id try a lil higher cc domes and get your comp down and see if you get any better results.
  9. I wasnt aware they had pjs in 35mm? thought they just came in 34,36,38? Anyway i went ahead and just order the mikuni power jet kit off ebay, was only like 20 a carb to do, guess ill find out, any ideas on the billet bowls? really dont wanna lean er out half way down the 300!
  10. After about 6 months of running 110 im ready to switch to some M1, where do you guys recomend getting the power jets from and what kind? I know alot of people use mikuni power jets on keihin carbs, just wondering which is the best route, and do you think i "must have" billet bowls or if i can go without for a bit
  11. Ya i thought it was a perfect weekend! i wish the sand could have been a little wetter for the hook but at least it was smooth. bikes all seemed like they were runnin hard!! Im gonna have to keep lettin my girl run my bike and build myself a bigger one if im ever gonna keep up with some of you fellas!! haha
  12. I was wonderin where the post was too, ill be there in the far south loop of the south camp with a red and white cub and a red LT rhino... Is there gonna be any meeting for drags sat. like usual?
  13. I havent played with my gearing a whole lot but im bout 220lbs with a +10 swinger 22/11/8/ 12 paddle haulers with 14/44 gearing, seems to come outta the hole hard unless its really really dry sand.
  14. i agree with everyone, t5s will just wont let the cubs breathe like they want, need more of a top end pipe, and carbs outta be fine, I run 34 PJs on mine with sb CPI oofs and it runs amazing. keep an eye on ebay and craigslist for a used set, you can usually pick up a nice used set for half the price or better.
  15. well i cant say i know what im looking at bein this is my first set of cubs, but the guy i had look at em worked for a very reputable company building their motors for a few years while he was goin to MMI, so if he says they hadnt been touched i believe him.
  16. Just tore my 421 apart after its first season due to i had some coolant leaking into motor, when i ordered my cubs they were "supposed" to be ported but after having a friend that look at em the was very experianced in cub motors, he told me they never were touched, he told me i could do some cleaning up on em to the transfers and intakes to help everything flow a lil better and ive ported/cleaned stock cylinders before that helped but never cubs, question is.. is it ok to do this as long i dont hit the plating on the sleeves? just dont want to have to get em re nikasil'd, or would you guys recomend just leaving them alone?
  17. is the airbox lid on or off? take it off and try that if its on... if that makes any diffrence open the fuel screw on the bottom of the carb. air flow is a MAJOR factor on 450s in my lil experience with them....
  18. As for alky i have no experiance with but im running 21cc domes cut 9 degrees burning vp 110, my compression is 160 with a .051 squish timing advance 5 degrees, my elev is around 1500ft. im sure you could go with 17-18cc with alcohol without any problem, but id run at least +7 or higher on your timing. thats what id try first anyway!
  19. just wondering if R6/R6s clutch plates work in a banshee? I have a buddy that found a brand new set of friction plates and springs in his garage and was wanting to freshen mine up for the upcoming season, ive heard of R1 plates being run but dont know if there is a size diffrence?

  21. hey thanks i was wondering which one i was suppose to copy and paste to get it to show like that.
  22. hope this pic works! first time posting a pic... but we'll see! i tried to shave mine down all the way around to take out the "bulky" look. cut out the front and the back lip that hangs down, cut the area that the "350 twin" sticker is stock and sanded the bottoms of the front fenders to make them appear sharp and thin. hope this helps.. if you can see it haha http://i849.photobucket.com/albums/ab58/simonkc85/010.jpg
  23. hey thanks for all the input! the main reason i asked the quality of the rdz's was i have never seen a set of shearers that still looked new after a few seasons... whether or not they squeeze out 2-3 more hp doesnt bother me as much rusting and cracking out $600 pipes. ive always been a cpi fan and have ran the inframes for a long time, just recently got the outframes. But now that they discontinued the sbof cpi's i figured id have to look at another company, never heard anything bad about rdz so i thought id see what ya all thought
  24. Haha they cant be any louder then the cpi's i run! Gives me just one more reason to wear a helmet tho... I went down to LS for demon dash last weeked and broke a chain rollin into 4th needless to say im glad the ol lid was there cuz now i have a chunk missing from the back of my helmet instead of my head! broken chains can can go wierd places....
