350BANSHEE350 Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 well what kind of porting, i hear dg are much of an upgrade,i guess i would trade them Quote
Wildcardracing Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 I would personally stay away from the T-6 pipes if you intend to do many mods, from what I've heard they don't respond well to porting ect. Look for T-5's if you want a good all around pipe that still does well with other engine mod. I guess it all comes down to what you plan on doing to and with the bike. Quote
gumby6t9 Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 I have T-6's and I like them. A lot better than stock pipes! I've talked to a few builders and they said with the porting I am going to get I would be ok with T-6's They all said that I wouldn't see as much top end as I would with T-5's. I would trade the DG's for T-6's any day. Quote
wooten Posted March 16, 2008 Author Report Posted March 16, 2008 dont have many mods just a filter, trinity swirl cut head, and i am fixing to get v force reeds. i havent really heard too much on the dg pipes performance wise that is but they seem to do real good on mine!! Quote
dajogejr Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 T6 would be a nice upgrade in performance, fit and finish from DG pipes. DGs are not great, but anything is better than stockers. You can still port a bike with T6 pipes....so I wish people would stop saying that. T6 pipes do not work ideal on aggressively ported cylinders, like dune or especially drag porting. For a light clean up, MX or trail port, they will work just fine. If you can trade DG pipes and pay 100 bucks for T6 pipes in nice, clean and undamaged shape, I'd do it in a heartbeat... Quote
wooten Posted March 16, 2008 Author Report Posted March 16, 2008 (edited) the only thing that is wrong with the pipes,is that one of them looks like it has gum or something melted to it in the top beside the tank not very big though but other than that they look very good, wonder what kind of jetting i need to do!!! so they perform better than the dg you think Edited March 16, 2008 by wooten Quote
wooten Posted March 16, 2008 Author Report Posted March 16, 2008 also forgot to ask will there any noticable difference in the pipes compared to the one i have now, will it feel any stronger while riding Quote
Hulio-mv Posted March 16, 2008 Report Posted March 16, 2008 The gum if on the left side by the petcock is mostlikely the rubber nuckle pads on his riding gloves it will clean up but it will probably happen again. Swap em and check your plugs there will probably need to be a little change Quote

Bansheeb0y5505 Posted March 17, 2008 Report Posted March 17, 2008 DG PIPES SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would trade for the t6's in a heartbeat, and you should too. Quote
dajogejr Posted March 17, 2008 Report Posted March 17, 2008 A few things. A light (very fine) scotchbrite pad will probably get that off. So will Never-dull, with some serious elbow grease. Get the T6. When you get them, list out ALL your mods, rider weight, elevation, temps....and I can get you close on jetting. You will get a better fitting pipe, better looking, better performance and better sounding. It's a total win-win for you, and you won't be disappointed!!! Quote
