P-man Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Hey, I recently turned up my banshee to look at the under carriage and engine oil began to pour out of the little valve looking thing on the rear of the tranny case. How do you keep that from happening? Is there supposed to be a cap or something? Thanks Parker Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 that is just a vent to your tranny. its going to leak fluid if you stand the bike up too far. Quote

ClimbAnyHill Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 And check out the fluid level, might be too full. Quote
P-man Posted March 6, 2008 Author Report Posted March 6, 2008 Ok, thanks. I have another banshee and never had it leak like that, Does that mean it is clogged or something? Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Ok, thanks. I have another banshee and never had it leak like that, Does that mean it is clogged or something? its possible that the vent hose has alot of dirt or something on the other one. the inside of the case is just a small opening that has a hole about the size of a dime that allows the pressure to vent and thats where the fluid gets up there at is through that hole when you tip the bike up Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Yep you want to make sure the vent is clear. If the Trans case isn't vented it will cause your seals to fail. Quote
