sheerider1026 Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 i always do it by hand.. its pretty dam easy!! just make sure that you have the ring gap on the locater pins on the piston.. it will go together pretty easy!! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 first off you need to make sure you have the correct gap. to do this put the ring in the cylinder and use the crown or top of the piston to push it inside the cylider and make sure its level. use a feeler gauge and messure the gao, depending on your bore size and type of piston will determine what size gap you need. once your gap is set put the ring on th piston and connect it to the rod. if you look at the bottom of the banshee cylinders they have a little bit of a taper, so you dont need a ring compressor. you may have to squeeze the ring by hand a little bit but for the most part it should slide right over Quote
00tbanshee Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 the bottom of the cylinders are tapered so makes it so you don't need a ring compressor.just make sure you put some oil on the pistons, rings and inside the cylinder. Quote
