i dont mean to thread jack hahah but i had a question. it starts up fine and idles perfect when cold. when i go for a ride and its all warmed up, when i shut it off i have to give it throttle to re-start. i tried adjusting the air / fuel screws with no change 1 1/2 turns out, died if i went either way witht he screw. any sugestions. the pilot jet is 27.5.

 

 

Need more info. Pipes, air filter setup, elevation, mains etc.

shearers in frame pipes and silencers, k&n pods with outerwears, and 320 main jet. motor is stock. i only ride in glamis, so sea level im guessing...

its amazing how many "perfectly" jetted bikes are in this thread.. yet they are all so far apart from each other on jetting with the same basic mods and riding spot.. so how can they all be perfect when some of you guys are like 5 main jet sizes apart??

comment was not intended 4 the people who gave me advice, thank u 4 that, it was meant for the guy who stated i should sell my shee and buy a 4 stroke,whatever man i have had my see since 1990 you probably jumped on the bandwagon, i had it stock for most of its years first did the suspension, shocks , arms, axle then when i started messing with the motor my reliability went out the door, i am open to suggestions and help thank u....

not true.... at sea level on stock porting stock carbs with airbox lid off and pipes. a 310 main should be right on the money. way back in the day i ran a 310 main 27.5 pilot stock needle 3rd clip 2.5 turns and was spot on

me 222222222222222222222.or maybe it was 320,also stock needle is the way to go

hey y'all finally figured out what was the real problem, my cdi box took a shit, although it was odd since my problem originally ocurred from 3/4 throttle to full throttle, well i had a marvelous time this weekend in glamis, thanks for everyone whom gave their opinion for taking time to hear me out and help me out...except for the dude who told me to buy a 4stroke LOL...
