lonestar balljoints

Somebody once told me that i can get ball joints at a auto parts store for my lonestar A arms. They said that they were the tie rods off of a voltswagon but i am not sure what year or model. Has anyone heard this before. The only reason i ask is because lonestar wants around 45 dollars a piece and i was told you can get them at a auto parts store for around 20 dollars a piece.

The old Lonestar ball joints were a automotive ball joints and required the spindle to be reamed, they are a poor design for ATV spindle ball joints. The new lone star ball joints are made for their application from a european company, I forgot the name at the moment. I am not sure if you can find the newer balljoints from a auto store but they are the same as some of the other a-arm manufactures use. I have seen other a-arm manufactures sell them for cheaper.

I hears they were from a the little Ford pu before the ranger (courrier? or something like that)

 

I have a set of old Lonestar lowers and a set of newer Lonestars and they look exactly the same except for the ball joints. I think you can get the 250r ball joints for a-arms from Lonestar or some other manufacture that will be better for the application and also fit the reamed spindles.

 

Ball joints from Lonestar are only $125 for all four.

D-Arms = Uppers only require 2 87 Yamaha Warrior Ball Joints

V-Arms = Requires 2 87 Warrior Ball Joins;

I had a problem when I bought mine used the guy didnt say they were the old arms

 

I found Ricky Stator has the ball joints that fit the Lonestar arms without reaming the spindle they look like they are the same exact ones as on the wicked arms

thats good to know cause my spindles are reamed. I never knew that i needed the 250r balljoints for my a arms

I don't get it. An '87 Warrior Ball Joint looks like the Roll Designs version. The ones on my Lonestar A-arms look like the ones Ricky Stator sells for $19.75 each.

There is also a picture with the info you were looking for about automotive application parts that fit. I'm gonna go with the RS ones myself, if the threads are the same.
