jcbanshee Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 My front left headlight doesnt work. My right one works fine. I checked with a voltmeter and its not getting any power. Any idea what could be wrong? Quote
inthemail Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 you played with your wiring much? most likely a bad ground wire. its the black one follow it from your light to the wiring harness body and check to see if its good and connected Quote
Bansh-eman Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 either ground wire or a blown bulb. i always start with the most obviouse and rule those out. i learned the hard way a few times trying to trouble shoot thing and alot of time and money later it was the most simple of problems Quote
atvfreestylekid Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 similar prob here. But mine works on low beam all the time and every now and then both will work on high beam. but 99% of the time, left side only works on low beam. Quote
Snopczynski Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 ok first, are you sure you were using the meter right? What happens if you plug the right headlight into the left side socket? Quote
jcbanshee Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 i only got around to testing the bad side and didnt get any readings. I will try the other side tonight to see if i get a reading out of that. Im pretty sure its not the bulb because i put in a brand new light. I didnt have much time to look at everything but i will try more tonight... Quote

Then as the others have mentioned, test the bulb. Either switch bulbs or use you multimeter set to resistence (ohm's) to see if you have continuity across the filament. Also make sure all the connections are together and tight. Quote
