ClimbAnyHill Posted January 23, 2008 Report Posted January 23, 2008 Sounds too rich for me, I run 280, 290's on 27.5 pilot on K&N Pods.. Quote
yamaha04 Posted January 24, 2008 Report Posted January 24, 2008 yeah i dont have pods but i run 280 mains, toomey needle, and stock piolts. 25. your 33.5 piolts seems way to big Quote
dajogejr Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Check your jets again. They don't make a 33.5. It's 25 (stock) 27.5, 30 and 32.5...they go up by 2.5 increments. Stock pilot, 290 main is a good start. Do you have a pro flow kit to seal the air filter against the air box front? Tight seal on the carb boots? From 64mm stock to 65mm bore (.040) is almost half the usable life of the cylinders on the first bore.... I'm not saying it doesn't happen...but damn, how bad was it.... Quote

akita8 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 (edited) The bore really does'nt matter. If you changed to a different type of filter or took the airbox lid off, changed pipes, then it makes a difference. If it was running good before the teardown I'd do a plug chop after breakin and see how it looks. Good Luck Edited January 27, 2008 by akita8 Quote
