350BANSHEE350 Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 well my friend sometimes misses second and goes into neutral and he just goes to second and it makes a nice crunch sound what could this cause a bent shift fork? a chewed 1st gear? Quote
BansheeRider71 Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 well, after it makes those awful grinding sounds he should prolly change the tranny oil an see if there are any metal chunks or shavings in there, if it always misses 2nd gear there is definitley a problem there. Quote
350BANSHEE350 Posted January 20, 2008 Author Report Posted January 20, 2008 no its fine when i ride it hes just a dumbass and doesnt know shitall Quote
BansheeRider71 Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 But ya missing gears like that will eventually mess up the shift fork if he is abusing the tranny like that it will happen sooner not later. When ever you get ready to order some parts in the future you should look into the shift star mod, it will make shifting buttery smooth, because banshees are know to have notchy trannys. Quote
