chillls Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 (edited) i am putting a set of pj34 on & would like some input about how well they work for the people running them im running 19cc domes, with 110 race fuel, 4deg. key, stock bore, with a stage one port job, stock ign., stock plugs b8es, 3/8" reed spacers, k&ns on the carbs them selves i like to ride mainly in the sand...sand mountain, pismo any feed back would be appreciated thanks CHILLLS Edited December 20, 2007 by chillls Quote
wesw Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 i liked them, many dont, they are easier to adjust than pwk to get to idle being the knobs are on teh top and the pwk have the screws on the side. you will need a carb sync tool. the pwk and pj run the same jetting or very close. and they are cheap usually. 00tbanshee Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 i ran a set on my 4mil this yr and never had a problem with them.i set mine up without a sync tool but with one it would probly be easier.they even work well when converted to alky. Quote
chillls Posted December 20, 2007 Author Report Posted December 20, 2007 do you loose power on the bottom when running the 34s? Quote
00tbanshee Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 do you loose power on the bottom when running the 34s? not sure what your port work is like so couldn't say yes or no.its possible Quote
bigboybanshee Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 I've run PJ's before, wes pretty much nailed it, they're similar to the PWK's, but the adjustment is a little different. It's a good carb, I have a couple friends running them, they seem happy. Quote
kawiking Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 im running them right now, my buddy is running them on his 4 mill cub . Quote
bk_banshee Posted December 20, 2007 Report Posted December 20, 2007 I ran them in fact I still have the, but I loved them. Felt like 3/4 throttle on the PJ's was WFO on the stockers. HUGE gain in my mind anytime you can flow more air and fuel. Quote
chillls Posted December 21, 2007 Author Report Posted December 21, 2007 cool was starting to think i might have made a mistake with the 34s havent got them yet should come in on friday i think ill run this set up for a bit then put on some nitris  Quote
baddsheee Posted December 21, 2007 Report Posted December 21, 2007 I'm running them right now. Much better than stockers. Make sure you get some intakes that fit correctly and start teh jetting really rich. I tried to guesstimate my jetting and blew the top end. wes  know whats up on these carbs. Quote
chillls Posted December 22, 2007 Author Report Posted December 22, 2007 hey cool thanks just going to install them, get it fired up & then it goes to the dyno for tuning Quote
