Cory9584 Posted November 30, 2007 Author Report Posted November 30, 2007 nevermind, for whatever reason i had one in my garage in a bucket of tools. I guess it fits something else but it worked just like the yamaha tool! Quote

seabass Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 (edited) While we're on the subject, in the Clymers, it says to use a flywheel holder. Can I use a strap type, oil filter remover with a friend holding it? If not where's a good place to get one? Thanks guys. Edited November 30, 2007 by seabass Quote
Snopczynski Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 doesn't the puller have a cut out flat section on it that you can hold it with an adjustable wrench? My motion pro puller has it. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 same. it should have a spot to hold the puller so you dont need the strap wrench. but yes you can use a strap as well. Quote
locogato11283 Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 ive never used any type of strap on mine. just put the puller in, and impact off. simple as that. Quote
dajogejr Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 ive never used any type of strap on mine. just put the puller in, and impact off. simple as that. Yep...ditto. Had to weld that puller on two flywheels to get them off though....sucks when you lose a 10 dollar tool AND flywheel all in one shot... Quote

dajogejr Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 threads on the flywheel fucked up?? Yep, and it was a year old Ricky Stator flywheel off my 4 mil from last year.... What a waste... Quote
Coupelx Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 i had to do the weld-the-puller bullshit too except it took 2 pullers. the first one stripped out inside so i had to cut the bitch off and buy a brand new one just to weld it on to the flywheel :: Quote
shanYE west Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 I think I've junked about 7 of them pullers now.. Damn threads are weaker then shit and pull right out. But then again my boss is cheap and always gave us the emgo's or somthing like that.. I can't remember the name off hand. Quote
