nitroburner13 Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 hey guys im starting to get frustrated. i just put my bike back together and i cant get the left cylinder to run at an idle. it runs fine at WOT but in the midrange it still sounds like its missing. i have checked and rechecked the electrical so i know its not that. i think it may have something to do with the carbs but i cant seem to get them right. does anyone have any ideas about what i should try? thanks in advance for any help. shee4speed Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 Just go ahead and clean those carbs all up and make sure the jets are not plugged, including the pilots. Then sync those bad boys up and everything will be fine. Quote
Michael Jackson Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 make sure they are both jetted the same, main jet, pilot jet, needle clip position, and make sure they are in sync, thats very important , and of course clean em all out while your at it Quote
polkaudio Posted November 29, 2007 Report Posted November 29, 2007 I had the same problem last year. I felt like I was chasing my tail every step of the way. Spent $$ on new coil and CDI when it turned out to be a blocked Pilot jet. Quote
afireblade929 Posted December 1, 2007 Report Posted December 1, 2007 Hey had the same problem on one of my shees. I cleaned out the carb like 3 times, made sure everything was good and still!!! Finally, i adjusted the float level on the missing cylinder and bang! idled fine and ran great. I was blown away that it was the float level because how did it get out of adjustment?? who knows??? Check that and see what happens Quote
