Dave I. Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Here is step 1. Step 1: pull the clutch cover. Step 2: the rest is pretty obvious from there. Its a pretty simple deal. Dont need a clymers for this job. Just dive in. Quote
LiftdT4R Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 Yeah, it is pretty easy, make sure replace the clutch gasket also. You should probably consider buying a Clymers for the 30 clams or whaveter they go for now, that is one of the best investments you can make. Quote
BrockMoto Posted November 17, 2007 Author Report Posted November 17, 2007 well, do i have to drain the antifreeze or something?? Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 well, do i have to drain the antifreeze or something?? This is from memory...it is pretty straight forward...THIS 'how to' has a picture of the inside of the clutch cover if you want to take a look. Pull the foot peg off Disconnect the rear brake foot pedal and remove it Drain the gear oil Remove the radiator hose clamped to the clutch cover and drain coolant Disconnect the breather hose from the Tee above carburetors Remove the three screws from the plastic water pump access cover and remove cover Remove the screws from the metal water pump cover and remove cover remove the screws from the clutch cover and remove cover Remove the C-clip, washer, gear, and pin (not sure of the order or exact content of parts off the top of my head, but it is REALLY simple to figure out) Install in reverse order... It is much nicer if you can throw the right front wheel and right rear wheel on milk crates to tip the bike to one side... Clams and Cabbage, I can't keep up with the currency... Quote
