pitbike26 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 hey im new to banshees i have rode one once and i loved it but i want to know what are some of the pros and cons of the banshee because i want one in the near future thanks Quote
dajogejr Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Ton of pros. Been made for 20 years and still going (just can't buy new models in the US) Great motor, nearly any part under the sun available for them, from wild to mild, did I say great motor? relatively unchanged in 20 years, (chassis and electrical is about it) Tons around for cheap.... Cons: Outdated frame and suspension Quote
duneloon Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Pro the Banshee is nothing more than an adult erector set. The after market will alow you to do anything your heart desires  . Con this desire is strongly offset by your wallet . Quote
pitbike26 Posted November 16, 2007 Author Report Posted November 16, 2007 ive heard the banshees have overheating problems what can i possibly do to fix that and do the newer models have overheating problems too Quote
Screaming Yellow Zonker Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 ive heard the banshees have overheating problems what can i possibly do to fix that and do the newer models have overheating problems too Cool head, billet impeller and an over sized aluminum radiator. Quote
flattrakker Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 only overheat if you stress it out... one con is that you always want it to be faster then it already is.. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 (edited) iv never had issues with mine, but a billet impeller and running an actual coolant vice antifreeze goes along ways. no need for a oversized rad. the stock cools fine. Edited November 16, 2007 by Bansh-eman Quote
zach45 Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 my bike never overheater and i beat the shit out my bike few time realy bad... get the banshee and if our not rich(like me) build it to your dream bike little by little.. frist i got the bolt-ons(pipes kn reeds) then i did the rear axle and 450 shocks... now im waiting on my +3+1 a arms.....some where in there i got a nosshead with 20 domes... banshee are fun bikes and i love the fact that people think there horable trial bikes...and making them eat there words... Coupelx Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 the only things i do not like about my banshee is the gayass chain adjuster and the wimpy front suspension. but both are easily switched out. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 (edited) have fun with her, because your going to learn what being broke is at a very young age now lol Edited November 16, 2007 by Bansh-eman Quote
