FireHead
Have any of you folks taken a Pingel Dual Feed Petcock (funny word) apart? I have one of mine that seems to not shut fuel off all the way on one of the outlets. I have it most of the way taken apart, but I am not sure how to get the vavle out of the housing. A better question might be what is in this vavle that would make it leak like mine is? I was assuming there is just a ball valve in there this morning, but now I think it may be something more like a barrel vavle. One of you guys must have fixed something like this before............. :ermm:
Bansh-eman
hum i was assuming it was a ball vavle with an o-ring, guess i was wrong.... could it be turned, like installed backwards and leaving a small opening when it is supposed to be closed? shanYE west
I thought they used o-rings aswell. I know you can send it back to Pingle and they rebuild them for 12.00. So I'm sure they could send you the parts to do it yourself.

That is what I thought too, but it does not seem to be the case.

jbooker82
I think they sell a repair kit for the single petcock's, and they want you to send in the dual ones. They must not feel confident with people fixing the dual outlets. josh

Secrets may stay safe in Vegas, but it's symptoms may always haunt you...

I still can't figure out how to get the thing completely take apart. :geek:

I'm not sure what is scarier... The fact you know about a kit of said type, or that you actually tried it...

FireHead
Aside from the pirate hooker stuff, someone must have figured out how to take a Pingel Dual Feed Valve apart. I talked to Pingel about having mine refurbished, but they have about a 5 week back log of work at the moment.
