I've always thought it was normal for my shee to leak fuel while im riding..its done it since I took it off the show room floor in 05..is this normal??

Sometimes it'll leak after i ride, i just tap on either carb and it stops..so i usually just turn the fuel off after every ride..

floats bad maybe? or need to be adjusted?

I've done all jetting etc myself after every mod...it runs perfect...it just leaks fuel all over the right side of the axle after every ride...i cant tell if its alot..im sure it isnt since i get a pretty good amount of ride time after each tank..mods are in my sig

TIA guys..

I was thinking since he taps on his carbs and it stops maybe the floats.

After riding glamis yesterday...well i had took the carbs apart, i found that just the left carb was leaking so i adjusted the tab for the floats as per clymers manual...it helped alot..it doesnt seem to spit out fuel while im riding...but it still drips when i shut off the engine...so im going to buy a rebuild kit...where do you guys rec'd i buy it?? and whats the cost of a rebuild kit..TIA and for all your help..

I had that problem but mine was leaking out close to a tank from just sitting over night. I just cleaned the float needle and it quit leaking. It does still drip while sitting so I just shut the gas off. I'm sure the rebuild kit would take care of it though. I found a kit on ebay for around $30 to do both carbs but it includes jets and everything so I'm sure you could get just the parts to rebuild you floats cheaper.
