bigdaddy69 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Buddy of mine wants to go to a 2 into 1 just wondering what size carb to get? Everything on the bike is stock except for dmc pipes. Quote
bigdaddy69 Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 allright cool, I told him probally a 33 but I wanted to check with you guys before he spends his money. Quote
dajogejr Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 I'd say 33 unless you're gonna get some porting done, than 35.... And I'm pretty sure the 33's can be bored to 35s... I know the 39's can be bored to 41s.... Quote
Snopczynski Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 33 if he is gonna kick around on the trails and maybe occasionally hit the sand. 35mm if he ever plans on upgrading anything, then he will already have the carb. Try to stick with the pwk, tm, or tmx carbs. Dont use a PJ. Quote
sredish Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 a little searching will yield A LOT of results... Quote
JdiZzla Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Dont use a PJ. What is wrong with a PJ, i just bought one for this same setup and i hope i didnt make to big of a mistake :ermm: Quote
Snopczynski Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 They are a pain in the a$$ to tune. No one ever seems to get them to run right on a 2 into 1 setup. Quote

PWKs are sooo much nicer. or if you want cream of the crop, get a PWK Airstryker. Edited October 12, 2007 by sredish Quote

xXBlessedWithDeathXx Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 I have a 35mm pwk on unported cylinders and its perfect. Quote
RIPRuck Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Forgot to mention the 38mm PWK Airstriker I mentioned above is for an aggressive trail port motor. Quote
Banshee0028 Posted October 12, 2007 Report Posted October 12, 2007 Forgot to mention the 38mm PWK Airstriker I mentioned above is for an aggressive trail port motor. I was thinking of trying out a 38 also as I have both. Have you ever tried a 35 or just the 38? What mods do you have and what jetting if you dont mind... Quote
sredish Posted October 13, 2007 Report Posted October 13, 2007 There's really no reason to get a 38 over a 35 unless you just happen to find a good deal on a 38. Most anything you have that a single 35mm will not be able to keep up with will be a situation where you'll want duals anyway. Not to say the 38 won't work but no reason to search the 38 out over a 35. Quote
