Hey guys,

I'm new to the banshee world and I have a couple questions. The Banshee I just bought(02) starts on the first kick and runs great....but it dies a few secpmds after i let off the throttle.....but i've noticed it only does this when its cold or sitting for a while in idle. Are these bikes cold blooded?? and are they capable of idling for more than a minute or so?? and how do you adjust the idle as I think this would take care of it as it seems to me to idle real low.......thanks for any advice!!!!

They will idle if adjusted right.

Idle adjustment location depends on if your TORS (throttle override system) are removed or not.

With TORS - there is a large body mounted to the carb top. The throttle cable is connected to it.

There is a knurled screw head on the top toward the rear. This is the idle adjustment.

Without TORS - most TORS removal kits come with idle adjustment screws. They should be

installed in the side of the carbs. A little brass screw sticking outof an aluminum boss

(just above the top of the float bowl) which has a jam nut on it.

thanks for the help,

I think the TORS is removed......when i bought it the guy told me it had a Carb kit installed. There is no body of anything above the carbs, just the silver lines going into the tops......on each side of the carbs are large brass screws which I thought were the idle adjustment screws...am i right?? thanks for your help,
